A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Benue State, Senator Joseph Waku, has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari should have started his anti corruption war from the Olusegun Obasanjo administration.

“All these corruption and privatisation sagas we are talking about today started from Obasanjo’s administration. I insist that Obasanjo administration be probed. Buhari should revoke all the FG assets that were privatised under President Obasanjo," he explained.

He however lauded the president for a job well done.

“On the whole, I think this government is trying to sanitise the system for the younger generation and it is doing it gradually but well,” he said.

Obasanjo was the President of Nigeria between 1999 to 2007. It's publicly believed that he was very corrupt and is part of the nation's current problems.
