BRITAIN LEAVES THE EU

Bombshell everywhere:the ound has dropped over 15000 pips,it's about to loose its AAA ratings by standard and poor.collatera damage on commodity currencies,Australian Exchange has lost over 50 billion dollars in less than 5 hours.

LIKELY IMPLICATIONS IN THE SHORT-TERM FOR BRITAIN

The pound would loose its value, leading to inflation because price of goods would increase-fuel , especially imported goods.

The BOE might decide to raise interest rates to curb inflation:mortgage interests would go through the roofs and might see lots of foreclosure and a bust in the real estate industry.

With a negative standard and poor ratings, investors cash would leave the financial system in droves, consequently leading to a crash in the London Stock Exchange:reduction in the value of investments of british citizens.

The big boys in EU-France and Germany ,might decide to screw britain by banning export of british goods to deter Italy,Greece, bulgaria from following the brexit route to prevent the collapse of EU..the major advantage of devaluation is to favour export;a trade deficit won't augur well for britain.

Then there is the little issue of scotland propably deciding that the EU is good for it,might decide on another referendum to leave Great britain

In summary:it might get dark before the light of brexit starts filtering into britain.this could be the start of another cycle of recession.

Hope I am wrong.

I still dont get the difference between great Britain, United Kingdom, etc. Talking about Brexit, it's only Wales and England that pulled out. Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and London decided to stay put. I'm very sure their pulling out will be counter-productive. Some of dem might not feature in UCL, Epl.

You can't cut off your nose to spite your face, the U.K. Is one of the highest buyers in the automobiles from Germany and the rest of the EU so how is that possible?

Britain's import of german cars would reduce in the near -term if the above scenario plays out because of the higher cost anyway.u only purchase cars in a buoyant economy; britain's economy may tank in the near-term. Taking a dent in their 'export of cars' may be a price germans are prepared to pay for the integrity of EU.

It is all economics anyway,no absolutes.
