Ptdf: Court Dismisses Efcc Report On Atiku. Is This A Victory For Democracy? by habumaks(m): 12:36pm On Nov 29, 2006
A Lagos high court has declared that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commi-ssion (EFCC), report on the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) which indicted Vice President Atiku Abubakar is null and void.

The court, presided over by Justice Inumidun Akande, also set aside the report of the Bayo Ojo Administrative Panel which acted on the EFCC report.
Also dismissed is the federal government’s Gazette on the PTDF probe, with the court describing it as having no legal foundation.

The court’s ruling vacates the purported indictment of Atiku and others listed in the federal government’s Gazette on the PTDF saga, including Otunba Oyewole Fasawe.
With the ruling, the vice president is freed of any legal hindrance to contest the 2007 presidential elections.

This guy really looks more to me like the next Nigerian President, is this a victory for DEMOCRACY What do you think?

It is a victory for due process. EFCC act did not make provision for submission of report to Mr President. Bayo ojo panel did not follow the due process.

EFCC knows what they suppose to do. Prosecute those that are involved.
