U sound full of hate and lacking basic economics principles
We will have to blame Jonathan for 10 years if things(oil price) don't improve that's the effect of failing to save
Now let me explain this to u and I hope u remove hate and understand
U are a man and sole bread winner of the family and u work and get paid an unfixed money per month.. . Between 2010 and 2014 u recived more money than ever before and instead of saving u were buying expensive Cloths for ur kids, taking them to dubai and buying fleet of cars, u didn't invest this money... Fast forward to 2016 u are now being paid amount bearly enough to feed and ur family is asking u to do something what will u do??
At least Buhari is asking people to come and develop his lands he inherited since he can't do that at least that will bring small money to maintain the house

Hope u understand now
hmmm u must defend mediocrity. As of May 2015 we don't have it bad like this, this poo started when Buhari travelled to Saudi Arabia he came back with that so called FX Policy. The international Body(imf) was against it, business men like Capital oil were speaking against it. But they allowed that policy to detoriate our economy. Taking the economy back to where it was before is now a struggle. So forget about the oil price.. Obasanjo met worse

In 1999
Obj inherited: foreign reserve $1b
Oil price $19/barrel.
A battered economy.
oil price never exceeded $50/ barrels in his 8 year tenure.
Yet he moved Nigeria forward; cleared our foreign debt, increased work force etc.

In 2015
Buhari inherited : foreign reserve $33b (with ECA n SWF)
Oil price $62/barrel
Fastest growing economy in Africa
Third fastest growing economy in the world
Oil price dipped shortly to $28/barrel then rose to $50/barrel presently.
Yet he's put Nigeria in d worst economic mess of its existence; millions out of job, federal civil servants payed half-salary, prices of goods n services on an all time high.

Buhari has no excuse for failure but incompetence.
He inherited a sound structure to survive this plung in oil price; TSA, IPPIS, e-wallet agric policy etc
If he can't stand the heat he should leave the kitchen.
What was the wage bill by 1999
What was the minimum wage? ?
What was the national budget? ?

You should as well ask
What was the shape of the Nigerian economy in 1999 and what was the shape during handover in 2015?
What was d GDP in 1999 and what was it in 2015?
For the budget, buhari increased it to 6trillion in d face of dwindling oil prices, when other oil dependent countries are reducing their budget. U can help me ask him d magic he intends to pull.

The budget is just a projection.. . It has no effect what so ever in the economy... The money spent on the economy is
Our foreign reserves would barely last 6 money's even if it's more than that's of 1999 but that of 1999 would last for over a year...
Demand is growing so is demand for forex... Jonathan should not have handed over anything below $100 and that's would have held save the naira.. . With $26 billion there is no magic anyone can do. .. That's the bitter truth we need to accept... Our dollar demand is over 5 billion dollars per month and our dollar earnings per month is far below 3 billion.. So what happens??
This is basic economics my friend. .. Jonathan failed and as such we will have to live with it for years unless u oil prices go up

Lool I pity for Nigeria...
What Jonathan did would take years to overturn and and the only miracle that can save us is oil to hit $100 and the other is to diversify the economy which will take a minimum of 10 years...
We really need to understand that's there is no miracles here and please it's no blame game but the simple truth

You and Buhari also are part of the problem for not hearing when Amaechi told his ordinance how he looted River State for Buhari's campaign even before Wike's Inauguration.

The excerpts;

Rivers State Governor, Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, has declared that the governor-elect, Chief Nyesom Wike, was in for difficult times as there would be no money to run the state.

“God answered our prayers to save us. He also answered our prayers to save Nigeria. I’m not joking, we have no money anywhere. In Rivers State, no money. I think Nyesom Wike is coming, we are waiting. He will look for money for salary; there is none. Luckily for us, we endured these pains because we had to pay our loans.

When will u wake up and face d challenges at hand n stop blame game?
During Jonathan's time d North-east of Nigeria was virtually in war n lots of money was used to execute d boko-haram insurgency the opportunity cost being the low savings; thanks to those that swore to make that govt. ungovernable.
The state of d economy buhari met is far better than what obasanjo met in his time.
What's this about Jonathan failed? for the lay man d prices of things in Jonathan's time compared to d sharp contrast in just 1 year of buhari's reign is pointer to who's failed.
The economic turmoil we're in now is bc of buhari's policies n his stance to peg d naira rather than allow it slide, now companies v folded n many r out of job then he jumps out of his slumber to allow a flexible FX policy when d harm's already been done.
We are running a TSA; a strict one at that, every govt. parastatal is feeling d pinch likewise banks thereby laying off staff. There 's enough money in d Nigeria coffers n we're tired of this complains, buhari should get aviable economic team in pplace n watch Nigeria get out of this predicament, but alas, a bigot can't get d best brains to do d work if he doesn't like them.

What money was used to fight bokoharam??
The one they used for campaign??

First of all naira is based on dollar... if u don't understand that u need to read money in economic text

The dollar demand far out match the supply.. . This will wikean the naira and that's our main problem

U import goods not with naira but dollars

In your mind ALL (or most) d money that was signed to fight boko haram was used in campaign.
I guess d weapons buhari's still using to execute d boko haram battle were produced in d north.
U free to believe anything that makes u happy.
