This is a very dangerous contraption. Basically, its an electrocution device. Nothing ingenious here. From an electrical engineer's perspective, instead of wiring up a multi socket board (which is safer), he just wired up 240 volts to a rail of chains and uses the segments of the chain as socket points for polarity. DANGEROUS!!!!!! |

this kind of innovation is meant for a war situation, but Nigeria's power situation is worse than that of a country in a full fledged civil war |

It's innovative, but he should try to insulate it |

ZeroTolerance:what do you know about power systems?? Some of you will just come online to type rubbish.... Go and know more about power systems, most especially transmission. You will know the effect of little or no power generation on consumers |

A well constructed circuit-board would've been safer. |

This is very dangerous the importance of extension box cant be ignored firstly are the resistors that maintain and monitor the amount of current needed plus the resistance of the wires used in it... All these are important to our chargers and mobile devices... Cause they need certain amount of current for proper functioning and prolonged lifespan... God will help us in Nigeria sha.... |

quid:nothing is innovative here he used a bicyle chain to do that which is extremly a high level conductor....then you are now using generator to power it and we call it innovation,l was thinking he did it with out coil or gen ......The dangers l see are no where reconciliable with the incentives. |

JhyMedex: The electrical hot wire is high potential, the negative wire is low potential and earth/ground is also low potential. When you touching the hot wire, make sure no part of your body is touching earth/ground, also do not touch anything that is conductive that is touching ground, if someone standing bare footed touches you, he/she completes the high-to-low potential difference and both of you will be shocked. The key is, insulate yourself from ground by wearing a good rubber shoes and do not touch the negative and positive wires at the same time, as your body will will complete the the electrical path. work on one wire either hot or negative at a time. The same principle applies to high tension over head cables, though at the same voltage, but due to the different phases, they create the potential difference, so touching and repairing a single over head tension cable bare handed while wearing insulating foot wears is safe, the same reason birds can confidently land on bare live high tension cables and survives and some get electrocuted becos they somehow touched touched two live high tension cables at the same time. |

Thumbs up to the guy, i must say. If am to be sincere the chain charger is more dangerous than innovative. As we all know, if one of His customers touches it intentionally or mistakenly that he will get electrocuted... Isa, think more and come up with something with no side effects. |

I appreciate his innovative move but at the same time this is very dangerous as such a powerful conductor is left uninsulated, you wont dare to imagine the disaster that would happen if someone touches the deathtrap. Maybe Isa wanted to solve the problem of fake extension sockets and landed himself in the extreme. |
