The Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereignty State of Biafra (MASSOB) has declared that only God can crush the agitation for a Republic of Biafra.

The group, on Thursday, in a statement made available to journalists in Awka by MASSOB leader, Uchenna Madu, condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s comment that Nigeria’s unity was not negotiable.

The group also said Buhari could not stop Nigerians from deciding how they would want to live in the country.

He said:-

“This is enthusiastic expression of an old man who still believes in his old way without realising that new trends are taking place.”

“Buhari believes that with his kinsmen occupying all the positions in the military, he will easily crush Biafra and other opinion on restructuring of this country.”

“Maybe he thinks that with his intimidation of Igbo governors, National Assembly members, religious/ opinion/ political leaders, he can crush Biafra.”

Madu further said that it was obvious the president was ‘jittery’ because of his constant negative comments about Biafra.

“As every revolutionary struggle has its own methodology, the current Biafra struggle for self-determination and restoration will continue to pose confusing methods to President Buhari.”

“No man born of a woman can crush Biafra because God, history and humanities are on our side.”

Biafra is a mirage and dead on arrival. If u really want to break off, violent protests is not the way. The best way is to speak through your leaders. Let them force NA to pass a bill breaking off biafra. But unfortunately, all your leaders prefer to remain in nigeria. Which means biafra is nothing but the idea of criminals, hoodlums and hateful devils.

It is only a referendum that can change the constitution. Till then, the President's first job is to ensure peace and security and quash seccession. Nigeria will never be divided, whether u protest from now till kingdom come

Violent protests? The protests have only turned violent when the Nigerian security agencies start shooting at unarmed protesters. The video are over YouTube of this. You are talking about referedum and constitution. Which referendum and constitution made you a Nigerian? When Scotland agitated for freedom, the first thing the British Government did was to aknowledge their right to be free. Nobody went around shouting 'we must be one Britain!'. It started from there and the modalities for a referendum were discussed and agreed. The same Scotland is currently saying that they will have a second referedum because of the recent British vote to leave the EU. Nobody is shouting 'Britain will never divide!'. These are the very people who made you a Nigerian yet they are proudly and openly talking about their right to secede. But as an African, you are busy giving conditions for a people to leave a country we were all forced into against our will? Laughable. Nigeria may not divide, but I can assure you something, it will never be united and no progress will come from it. No happiness ever comes from holding people against their will.
