Nigeria spends $2.4bn on rice importation between January 2012 and May 2015. That's nearly N900 billon for only rice oo! Why can't our local rice be packaged such that Nigerians will be putting such monies into the pickets of the local farmers, thus freeing monies the FG is using to import rice on other sectors of the economy? |
