Bort 511 blue, the 9th flying prototype of the Su-57/PAK-FA.
It is one of the phase 2 series.

This aircraft had spread its its wings for the first time on Aug 6th at Knaaz in Komsomolsk on Amur. Technically this is the 11 th Pak-fa prototype and the 10th flyworthy one. It had its first flight before Bort 510 which as far we know is undergoing some last minute mods to its engine bays.

Bort 511 sports a dual tone deep grey dark blue digital paint scheme. She also has the full electro optical 101 KS Atoll suite- KS-U missile warning approach system, KS-V IRST employing the revolutionary QWIP technology KS-O DIRCM which is a hardkill countermeasures system for IR guided air to air and surface to air missiles. Bort 511 is also hauling two big 2000 l drop tanks . This is to increase its ferry range and allowed the aIR craft to make less no of stops on its ferry flight from KnAAPO to Zhukovsky.

Bort 511 also seems to sport the full N036 Byelka MIRES comprising of the nose mounted N036-1-01 radar with 1552 TR elements, the cheek areas arrays N036B-1-01 having 404 TR elements and the tail stinger installed areas unit. This serves both as a surveillance and tracking radar,a FCR and an ECM unit. From the pics it is still not clear whether this aircraft has the wing leading edge slat mounted L band aesa arrays.

Phase 2 birds have the following improvements over Phase-1-

1. Significant rework of the structural airframe and other load bearing elements . The fuselage wings and control elements have been beefed up structurally so as to enable them to sustain more Gs and higher stress loads.

2. An increase in the percentage of CFC composites as part of the wetted area and also as a portion of the empty structural weight. This phase also uses exotic composite materials besides the usual CfC.

3. The engine cowlings are manufactured from high temperature resistant PMC .As you can see there are no bare metal engine surface on these birds apart from the swivelling nozzles. This reduces the beam and aft RCS.

4. Presence of the cheek aesa arrays.

5. The earlier bleed and spill air intakes have been replaced with new stealthy mesh coverings. The gill air intake on the sides of the intake nacelles are now wedge shaped . This too reduces the radar signature.

6. The main weapon bay doors have more zig zag serrations compared to the phase 1 birds.

7. The leading edge of the main landing gear doors have more serrations. This is another measure to reduce Rcs.

8. Phase 2 birds have partial to complete Ram treatment of the fuselage and wing surfaces.

as u all can see PAKFA development is still incomplete and on going, it will need 5 years or so before the full matured version comes out . and therefor the cause of concern for IAF during discussions who felt there needs to be more improvements across a range of 5 gen features inorder to become truly 5th gen

DRDO/IAI MR SAM for a multirole all weather Advanced Surface to Air Missile Project.

Components of the system.

IA will have these divided into 5 Regiments.
Each Regiment consists of a command and control system, tracking radar, missile and mobile launcher systems. Each launcher will have eight such missiles in two stacks and are launched in a canister configuration.

There are a total of 8 TEL with 8 MR SAM missiles each ready to fire.

IA initially plans to procure 5 regiments with 40 Launchers. A total of 10 batteries divided between 5 regiments initially which will reach to a full strength of 20 Batteries for 5 regiments with follow on orders.

This would mean 80 TEL , together holding 640 MR SAM ready to fire missiles.

The total amount of initial buy is estimated to be 2.5 Billion USD in Feb 2017.

Missile General Specifications
Weight of Missile :- 275 kg approx
Length of Missile :- 4.5 Meter approx
Diameter :- 0.54 Meter approx

Range of engagement :- 70-90 km [Max] ; upto 500m [Min]
Altitude :- Atleast 16km.

Propulsion :- Two Stage Smokeless, pulsed Rocket motor

Speed :- Mach 2 in first stage. [Speed in 2 stage for engagement classified ]
Guidance system :- Two way datalink and Active RF/IIR seeker

Warhead :- 60Kg

The missile has 360° , multi threat multi engagement capability , meaning a single battery can counter a variety of a number of threats simultaneously.

drdo Advanced Light Towed Array Sonar (ALTAS) on Naval Platforms.

ALTAS system consists of mainly four subsystems i.e. Wet end system, Launch/Recovery unit (LRU), On-board Electronics and System Software.

The Wet End System consists of Transmitter and Receiver Arrays and Tow Cable assembly.

The Transmitter Array is housed in a Vertically stabilised body and is hooked on to the seamless Tow Cable with linear receiver Array.

The Launch/Recovery unit consists of a Heavy Duty Winch for Deployment, Retrieval and Stowage of tow cable assembly and Receiver Array and a hydraulically operated robotic handling gears for the launch/recovery of the Vertically stabilised body.

The receiver array is linked to the on-board electronics through fibre optic telemetry. The Tow Cable Assy Receiver Array Transmitter Array Launch/Recovery Unit On-board Electronics on-board electronics consists of transmit waveform generators including power amplifiers for generating the acoustic pulse and specific hardware modules for signal processing and display.

The system software which resides on the on-board hardware modules implements advanced signal processing algorithms for target detection and localisation and presents the results in innovative display formats.

https://southfront.org/israel-hiding-state-art-f-35-warplane-hit-syrian-s-200-missile-reports/

very difficult to tell without access to info

it depends on what u want to believe

anyways , one must keep in mind that stealth or no stealth , systems will always have vulnerabilities which can be exploited to take it down provided one has the capability to do so.

This is their equivalent of the Russian Terminator?

With the "proliferation" of anti-tank rockets/missiles other armies might have to tweak their armour doctrine to allow these type of vehicles.

Thermobaric & HEAT warheads.
