September 10 sees a new man at the helm of affairs in edo state.

What should be of concern is who would take it to the next height irrespective of party affiliation.

As a concerned edolite who speaks from the true situation of things i wish to analyse the real events to play out.


Its no error to assume that only apc and pdp are the most viable going to the polls.


I do not intend to vote any of the parties candidates as both are just great evils, but i aim to navigate in my capacity the direction sensible edolites on nairaland should take.


Pdp ize iyamu has a non deniable rotten past for a man in the position who signed 90% of cheques and grants under lucky igbinedion fraud government


His reputation is zero and he has been recorded on cameras at acn campaigns then many times alluding to the obvious that his pdp ruined edo from 99 and begged for forgiveness.


Apart from politics he really has no achievment except being a pastor and using his wife cv to booster his.



Godwin obaseki truly has an astonishing cv, and has no accomplishment in politics but in contemporary world, the exact opposite of iyamu.



One thing is obvious with obaseki, he has the 100% endorsement of oshomole who is his godfather, the same loyalty that made a political novice win almost ten aspirants who some have spent since 1999 at the top political space.


This should be what generates curiousity, why is adams oshomole so much 'desperate' to impose an obaseki at all cost.


Forget the rhetorics of continuity, as i do believe edolites know the difference of projects executed in adams time and a new government either contribution or non contribution to the existing.


It is not then suppose to be a 'by force' mentality that a trusted must be the incumbent succesor.

Just as its done in developed societies, when the incubent has so much godwill the highest is a priviledge of having a preffered candidate, and not using all capacity and desperation to muscle him in.



The confirmation of philip shaibu as obaseki deputy unofficialy sealed the ticket as a stooge one, and a government by proxy agenda.


The simple logic is that if in any way obaseki decides to act against the power that be,(in which case has been ruled out because stooges are majorly restricted to the terms with their propiertor, by virtue of strong allegiances sworn in blood or oath)philip shaibu has been sent to seal the concerns of a certain godfather so that the agenda is fully followed.



Shaibu has been a long stander of oshomole and from same lga.

The job he did for adams in the house of assembly then was obvious, he was majority leader and made sure a weak speaker uyi igbe followed the orders of adams.


He made sure pdp was restricted and was involved in fracas with pdp that always broke out then.


The same job is what kabiru adjotu is doing in the house now.


Philip was rewarded with a house of reps ticket and was also seen many times in the then femi dogara speaker tussle.

He one time raised a motion and at another time seconded that femi be nominated for speaker.

He was at the fore front when the watching of ballot boxes was done.


He was delegate of femi, there was no suprise as that was always his type, he was always a defender of his leader/master interest.


Adams would naturally had gone with femi same with his followers.



This is what begs for answers, WHY THE DESPERATION ?.
why not allow obaseki go into the field with the normal apc machinery and support as an incubent party?


Unless adams has some things to hide, i dont see why you cant trust your fellow party man to be candidate but need a complete stooge stooger(if it exists).



The edo university iyamo which was built overnight in his village costing #750,000 for school fee when an existing state university AAU EKPOMA was never funded with a kobo for 8yrs.
But enough for a small state to have a brand new university making it 2 at a time when austerity measure beckons.



That university was shrouded in secrecy and not even the post ume student knew the amount until the day they recieved admission and went to process it.



The immediate past speaker, an apc member asked that investigation be made into it.

The next day kabiru adjotu alert mode was activated, he joined up pdp members and a few apc and they impeached the speaker for the present woman speaker.



Since then nothing was said about investigation.

It is alledged that adams project are overbloated with costs and hidden in secrecy.

This is no denying the fact that in 8yrs adams transformed the state to an extent from the evil ruins that pdp left it.


In the first 4years adams did a huge lot and thats what still makes him popular in 2 out of 3 edo disricts(edo south and north).


In the last four years he dipped and was doing many things in secrecy, and also appointments in secrecy.

Edo today is a one senatorial district state with every appointment from adams village.


From the last four years downwards, he was both the govenor, deputy, ssg, party head, contractor and commissioner, no body challenged him(same way he has muscled his candidates on the party)

Everyone protected the scrumbs they got, and while projects where going on no one knew for how much even when taypayers and the collective patrimony was used or stacked as collaterals for loans which the whole state would continue to pay after he is gone.


It is for this reason one asks WHY THE DESPERATION?

Apart from the fact that stooges when they take positions must have requirements like remitting so and so amount on a basics, and allowing their master dictate cabinet and appointments, they almost have no control and above all continue to hide the secrecy of the former and engage in more secrecy to cover up.


It is with this opinion i ask edolites to vote PASTOR IZE IYAMU AND JOHN YAKUBU who ultimately become the lesser evils here.

To the Binis, i want to say obaseki is an extention of the present charade of oshomole, as already exemplified with the shaibu ticket.

Obaseki cant be so trusted by adams if adams has held him firmly by his balls so that what ever happens he got no choice.


To the Esans, john Yakubu is uromi and esan who exceled as uromi chairman, even though a deputy is a figure head.
Pdp remains the better party that factor esans in and ends the present day slaverly marginilization.


To the Afemais, its difficult for you to not support a party that has brought afemai from margilization to light.
But truth is afemai isnt marginilazed at even 40% unlike esan 100%. Afemai was given deputy in pdp last ticket, and developments have been evenly distributed.
For the overall good of the state adams stooge shouldnt return.

The wealth he has accumulated so far is his person property, his kids live abroad and he doesnt marry an afemai woman but outside nigeria.
His personal wealth wont impact you, but when resources are well distributed in projects execution.
