Stop Provoking Us, There Is No Oil Discovered In Lagos State - Asari Dokubo by outknow: 7:30am On Jul 13, 2016 |
Asari Dokubo has reacted to the claim that Oil has being discovered in Lagos. According to him, it is the greatest fraud of all time. Read below... There are wild celebrations all over the Nigerian state that substantial hydro carbon deposit had been discovered in the continental shelf off the coast of lagos in the Bight of Benin. This is to spite the Ijaw and Niger Delta that they too are now oil producing state. If this is true we will not have any quarrel with the findings...Since Ondo a predominantly Yoruba state had been producing hydro carbon in commercial quantity and was included by General Olusengun Obasanjo in the political Niger Delta. The case of Lagos is very fraudulent as the mining license OML113 granted to the company of late AbdulWahab Yinka Folawiyo, Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Company LTD is no where near or close to the constitutionally recognized boundaries of Lagos state or within the contiguous continental shelf of Lagos State....The area where OML113 is located is off the boundaries of,and the contiguous continental shelf of Bayelsa and Delta state. The international hydro carbon mappings are public documents and are in the public domain for sighting and reference....It is the greatest fraud of all time to physically thief and transmute the God given resources of the Ijaw and Niger Delta and to transfer same to Lagos state. Is it not enough to thief our resources through your constitutional abracadabra that you are now resorting to korokoro thief. We therefore demand for an independent international hydro Carbon and cartographic inquiry into this most monstrous thief of all time. On our part we will not allow any part of, or grain of sand of the Ijaw and Niger Delta to be confiscated or appropriated by anybody. http://biafrasay.com/p/321875/stop-provoking-us-there-is-no-oil-discovered-in-lagos-state 6 Likes |

Asari I know you said this so as to console yourself but in your hearts of heart you know the truth. What's your problem, you don't believe that some chibok girls were kidnapped, you also don't believe that Lagos now explores oil but you want us to believe Niger delta is marginalised when you have a university in another country...think am well 61 Likes 4 Shares |

Is that so, why is Nigeria or Nigerian leaders like this? But why did it take Edi Abali Buru Buru so long to speak up on this all important issue. From the tone of his language, i de smell chon chin I Hope other notable voices will speak up to make clarifications on this because this information has the capacity to further worsen the niger delta situation. |

Are you now praying that oil should not be discovered in any other part of the country? You see, your aim is to hold us by the balls, by God's grace we are going to reduce your influence. 33 Likes 1 Share |

Let us not forget however that logistics and administration of that block and the FPSO (Front Puffin) will be from Lagos. Folawiyo as a company is headquartered in Lagos. Located about 24 Kilometers offshore, the field is closest to Lagos (amongst the Nigerian States) as the crow flies. Shouldn't Lagos be regarded as the host community and enjoy full benefits thereof? I am just asking. Let us not forget that the first 12 nautical miles (22 Kilometers) is territorial waters. The next 12 nautical miles (another 22 kilometers) is the contiguous zone. While 200 nautical miles from shore is a country's Exclusive Economic Zone. Aje falls within this "setback" is a part of NIGERIA and a property of the Nigerian State. Now, since we know that by IMO rules, the field is within the Nigerian EEZ, we can come down to our own country laws. By Nigerian Maritime and Boundary Laws, can we then say Lagos can lay claim to this zone?Is it a part of Lagos? Does the boundary of Lagos State capture this field? On the Lagos State map does it extend to the Aje Field? Who has answers? Compare with Fields in Omoku, Soku, Akuku Toru, etc. that are well within the State Boundaries of Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom States. I leave this for people to research more and form their own opinions. 10 Likes 3 Shares

gulfer: Production you mean? Further exploration of course can be done as part of future field development activities. After which new wells will tie back through subsea manifold and then to the FPSO. Don't forget that the revenue belongs to the Federal Government. Perhaps some form of derivation may come into Lagos. Taxes from Folawiyo should also come into Lagos. Logistics base might be from one of the Free trade zones around Lagos. This will provide jobs. As for royalties, they MIGHT not apply since the field is not within any aboriginal lands of Lagos peoples-in principle. Besides royalty is to the Landowner. And the Federal Government owns all land, thanks to Obasanjo. As such the FG is the Lessee and owner of the mineral rights. I however hope that it benefits Lagosians a great deal. And hope that in future Lagosians will not have militant groups.Hahahahaha 3 Likes |

It is the greatest fraud of all time to physically thief and transmute the God given resources of the Ijaw and Niger Delta and to transfer same to Lagos state. This is a foolish Ijaw man. So offshore Badagry that is within the Seme axis is now Niger Delta? Why do people deliberately misinform their illiterate supporters? Helicopter flight from Ikeja Lagos to Agbami field in offshore Bayelsa is 1hr 45mins, Lagos to Erha field in offshore Ondo is 45mins, Lagos to Folawiyo-Aje Field in offshore Badagry is 15mins. How on earth is offshore Badagry that is within the Seme offshore axis of Benin Republic translate as Niger Delta? 29 Likes 1 Share |

EasternActivist: Ijaw whines and embrace militancy. What better way is to complain than that. Dangote, Adenuga, Otudeko, Innoson etc could as well move their investments that can benefit the communities and employ youths to Botswana and Togo, just becaus ethey are not Federal Government and State Government. What a calamitous reasoning!!!!! We have announced that Lagos has discovered oil and exploration is starting, if you are sad about it drag Baba God to Supremem Court or ICC, as if Ijaws are the only ones that have monopoly of oil. Just across the border of Lagos into Benin Republic, just a few kilometres away, Benin republic is exploring oil and why won't the EEZ of Lagos have oil if Benin republic and Ghana could have? 10 Likes |
