As the house of reps joint committee on foreign affairs, ethics and privileges kick start their investigation into the sexual related offences against Mohammed Garba Gololo, Samuel Ikon and Mark Gbillah who were guests of the US government for the International Visitors Leadership programme,they are many grey areas in what has been termed a sex scandal 1. Is it a criminal offence to solicit for prostitutes in the US considering the fact that prostitution is legalized there? 2. Must one be a US citizen or live in the USA for a period of say 5 years before soliciting for prostitutes? Except for Mohammed Garba who was accused of making sexual overtures to a hotel maid and will likely face the full weight of the law if found guilty. Can someone who has been to US or knows the laws therein tell me why soliciting for prostitutes is a sexual offence? |

Prostitution is nt legalised in the US.yes their action is criminal,they wil be entered into sex offenders register if found guilty |
