Yesterday, Bauchi state governor M. A. Abubakar was in Abuja to attend the ceremonial launch event for the first disbursement of funds to states and the FCT. The event organised by the Federal Ministry of Health, under the Saving One Million Lives Program for Result (SOML PforR) saw each state and the FCT receive a grant of 1.5 million dollars from the World Bank to implement the program. The event which was organised under the auspices of Prof. Isaac Adewole, honourable minister for health, had several state governors and commissioners for health in attendance.
