A roboticist? Really? He buys already made systems and assemble them together. Then he programs instructions into it. This is taught to 10 year olds in developed countries like Japan and China. Good job but its not worth the hype. |

If a yoloba shout wasterner at the peak of his ingenuity produced this junk, what then would he do at the height of his madness? |

Emilokoiyawon:Typical zombie, your source na nairaland and Sahara reporters. Shame no dey catch you? Thank God the awards didn't come within Nigeria. Afonjas would have collaborated with Daurrrra cows and deny him that. Same way you have been growing with the support of the government. Check all spheres of life in Nigeria and see who is leading even without government support. Is it our own Chike Obi or Chinua Achebe? Or our Darling Kanu Nwankwo or Chimamanda. Linda Ikeji or Zik of Africa? Okonjo Iweala or Dora Akunyili? Chuba Okadigbo or Jaja of Opobo. Dick Tiger or Mikel Obi. Pete Edochie or Osuofia? Aki and Pawpaw or Genny Nnaji? Basket mouth or Don Jazzy? Innoson or Psquare? Is it our Enyimba club or Chioma Ajunwa. These people soared higher even without support. We are milking Lagos state and I am sure your landlord is an Igbo man. 1 Like |

Stupedinluv: Seek for knowledge and ye shall find. I'm sure you are ignorant of what things really are? Maybe you haven't been abroad or people around you are surrounded by unintelligent ones. I know Nigerians to be high intellects. ...and start using Google |

vic2ry: If Nigerians were high intellects, this nation would have been ontop of its game long ago. I'm so surprised you can't see the contradiction. Most of you are better of without brain accessaries. Tedassie:Trash. |

The guy is a robotics hobbyist. I. Impressed I must say. There are guys like this littered all over this country. I've come across them; doing solid robotics research. Just that no one bloody cares in this country. @Proffemi, you are one of the few good lecturers we have in this country from merely reading your posts, I can tell you are a doer. |

mpowa: JAPAN COPIED NO ONE. US IMPORTS SMART ASSES FROM GERMANY, JAPAN AND ISRAEL TO DEVELOP TECHNOLOGY AND AFTER THAT WITH THEIR SUPERIOR WEALTH AND SOCIAL ADVANCEMENT THEY MAKE GLOBAL IMPRESS WITH IT. |

ubcandid: So who started building cars first, go and check your history, Asian's strength generally is not in INVENTING a totally new thing, they get those things from America and Europe and break them down and rebuild, then they Innovate, so much that you might even prefer theirs to the real inventors. |
Re: Ishola Babatunde Isaac Builds Robots At Home (photos) by ubcandid(m): 6:55pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
mpowa: Japan is in ASIA i agree but take them out of there intellectually, you just defined what Chinese, indians and taiwanese do. the japanese and south koreans are more of an opposite of that and japan emphatically OPPOSITE. Just try googling inventions of Japanese origins and you would be awed. When you talk about inventions, the Americans(i meant natural Americans) no even follow. They just give you an enabling environment and ambience to conquer. |

wizzakosh: africans you are behind. very long distance away from technology, africans can only work hard manually. leadership, technology, and researches are not for us at all that is why most of black countries are corrupted and poor for ever. that guy is not at high level to be called inventor . just like a small boy who make a model lorry out of 2.5mm wire and bottle caps. 1 Like 1 Share |
