Anyone hoping on Kemi to revamp the economy is day dreaming!! That woman does not have the experience to manage the economy of a country like ours!!Buhari made a very big gamble in appointing her. There are very critical appointments where competency should be the utmost criteria in makinh such appointments and not political leanings !!!

Kemi Adeseoun has been a collossal failure and should be sacked asap

Exactly, the kind of prosperity that signed 50million naira for ONSA to pay Okupe after Okupe complained that ONSA cut his allowance from 10million to 5million.

No one on that list can help Nigeria's case because of one very important reason; They are Nigerians. Nigerians don't have the mentality for progress, oneness, goals, and meeting objectives. Unless of course if it is corruption, they are all up for it. When the last recession hit America, they all agreed that they phucked up by being greedy, fat and lazy. They decided to do something about it so they could get out of the doldrums they were in. First thing was they injected 800 billion into the economy by bailing out banks. Think about it; if it were Nigeria, do you think that 800 billion dollars will reach it's intended destination? Everyone would be salivating on how they would "share the cake". Americans dug in deep, did what they were supposed to, and clawed their way out of it. It can't happen in Nigeria because people don't just understand that the responsibility for greatness rests with each and every one of them. But yet they are there blaming everyone including God. Some Americans took salary cuts, higher taxes etc, but they understood that it was for a goal. Nigerians are busy burning people on the streets, littering, bribing, etc, and thereby creating more chaos. The funny thing is, Nigerians want to be great, but don't want to do the things that make other countries great. I wonder how this makes sense to you all? Smh.

The main problem of Nigeria isn't over dependence on oil alone it's over dependence on imports. Tell me one finished product Nigeria exports, none!!! Economic diversification is the only way and it's always a long term project, so I'm non-plussed with IMF's negative economic indices.

I feel the PMB's government should focus on:

1). The revitalisation of Ajaokuta Steel Mills, if fully functional, it can serve Nigeria and West Africa,

2). Assisting Kebbi and Ebonyi states in rice plantations, it's on the record that Nigeria spent over 1 trillion naira on food imports in 2015 alone of which you and I know the percentage rice is gonna carry,

3) Reviving the moribund textile industry, why should Nigeria still import clothing materials?

4) Carrying out massive reforms on the Nigerian education system, studying abroad is one of the factors placing strain on the dollars, Nigeria loses billions of dollars to UK, US India, South Africa and even Ghana and Benin Republic,

5) Nigerians love cars, Innoson Motors needs to have plants in Lagos and Kano as well as engage in aggressive advertisements, else it would be still be seen as an eastern, not Nigerian car

6) Lend all support to Dangote as regards his refinery, refining oil in Nigeria will ease the burden on the naira in no small way.

7) Work harder on power generation.

Finally, the government needs to realize that WHAT WE DON'T HAVE IS WHAT WE DON'T NEED. Outrightly ban imports on things like tooth pick, brushes, Polish etc

Leave Niger Delta alone. We 5% will no longer feed the useless country..... Restructure the country is the only way and let see how some useless north states will survive and contribute to the federal government expenditures. USA is number one oil producer in the world but the governments do not depend on the states that produce oil to feed the rest of the country. Each stated control their own resources and contribute to federal government expenditures. Until Nigeria restructure, let them continue to destroy the whole oil facilities. NDA will never negotiate.....I am proud of them......

This is the best post in my opinion. I think to achieve the desired export capacity, the issue of fiscal federalism should be fully implemented. As long as we continue to discontenance it, we will only clutching at straws. Export culture needs to be stimulated and not preached.
