you are just contradicting urself,u stated the obvious,naija is a secular nation with diverse tribes and religion,is'nt it wise for every public institution,especially public educational institutions, to put religion and its affiliations aside,separate it from public institutions,to avoid unnecessary conflits and confrontations?

It might be seen as self-contradiction, but I think it reflects the fact that it's a complicated issue. If you aim to have a secular country, you must be careful not to treat any religion as more special than other religions:
- either by elevating it by forcing the wearing of hijab, or
- subjugating it by insisting that nobody should wear hijab.

A truly secular society must be seen as neutral, which means in essence: one is free to practice one's religion as they see fit.
