Abuja - Nigerians have been urged to brace for possible fuel
scarcity as truck drivers embark on a nationwide strike on
Tuesday, Naij has reported.

The strike, which follows a seven-day ultimatum issued by
members of the Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF), will see
the transportation of petroleum products come to a
screeching halt across the nation.


PEF's ultimatum, which involved the immediate payment of
bridging claims and reduction of freight rate paid to its
members, has resulted in frustration among drivers who
have now accumulated outstanding claims as a result of
non-payment.

Alhaji Kassim Bataiya, National President of NARTO, has
since demanded that the management board of PEF
commence full payment of all member claims with
immediate effect
