Linda never said she isn't sick. She said her family has been told her case is hopeless. But they are still collecting donations for an imaginary treatment. That makes it a scam.

That Toyin lady has always struck me as mentally unstable. Those two including Linda should have applied a little wisdom in the matter.

Even if the treatment is experimental Mayowa should have a chance at life. LUTH says its X diagnosis, everywhere in the world people are entitled to a second medical opinion from wherever they like . Even if it's terminal, end of life or palliative care can extend her life for a while with good quality of life and a dignified death . I ve not known LUTH to provide any of these.

After arresting her relatives who will look after her? Money can never buy wisdom.

Nigerians are just being too sentimental and this is why corruption and immorality has risen to high heavens here. Linda may have rushed to debunk a course she was once a part of as scam without articulating her reactions properly. She acted just like the woman she is, women generally act on impulse. That however does not mean she didn't have a reason to feel suspicious. Yes Mayowa is very sick and need our support and prayers, but again let also try and think outside the box. I know for sure Linda didn't act out of hate for the young lady's family or disbelieve on her plight, but at the shock of some new information that got to her.

Her reaction I guess stemmed from the fact that doctors at LUTH and some other well recognized Nigerian doctors and oncologist has declared Mayowa's case as irreversible and irredeemable. So it is assumed that they, having such knowledge and still went ahead to solicit for funds knowing fully well the lady wont pull through is akin to scam. What she however failed to realize is that we are Nigerians and are blessed with a very rare trait which is one of the things that has kept us from war; OPTIMISM. Add that to our strong religious believe and faith, you will understand why they refused to give up on the hope Mayowa will pull through if taken abroad. Don't be surprised services of numerous M.O.G and Imams have been sort to offer nonstop prayers for her quick recovery. We are a people with very strong religious believe in miracles and the power of God. Mayowa's case IS NOT A SCAM but Linda and Toyin didn't articulate their reactions properly. Just maybe, they wanted to be part of or have an insider to keep track on spending to ensure accountability but were rebuffed possibly rudely which may have resulted to their reaction.

Let all put the scam issue behind us and pray God to have mercy on Mayowa and heal/renew her body. God can, Yes He can.

What is the histological type and grade of her ovarian malignancy? That is all we need to know if it's a scam or not. We don't need sentimental religious leaders or organizations telling us what they want us to believe.
The bolded can only be provided by her managing oncologist, evidenced by the histology report.
The Sheikhs and Imams are already involved, thus we know how it's gonna end........ quietly

That she's really down with the ailment isn't the case from the Linda's post i read earlier, if they were to attack her for labeling it scam i think they should be rather talking about how the doctors really confirms they told the family to seek for help.

It's true the lady is sick but is it true that the money was demanded? because what Linda said was that the doctors said her condition was irredeemable and she's gonna die that way seeking for help in guise that the doctors asked them for funds is truly a scam and this post didn't say anything as opposed to that other than it's not scam.
