Megalyn Ann Echikunwoke was born May 28, 1983 in Spokane, Washington. Her father is Nigerian and her mother is of Caucasian descent. Her last name Echikunwoke means “leader of men” and Megalyn is the granddaughter of a Nigerian tribal leader of the Igbo, which technically makes her African royalty.
Megalyn Echikunwoke is perhaps best known for her roles as Tara Price in CSI: Miami, Isabelle Tyler in The 4400 and Mari McCabe/Vixen in the Arrowverse.
She now plays a role as vixen in the Vixen DC TV series. Vixen a woman that can transform and have animal amplified abilities. she also show cased in Arrows in the fight against Damian Dark, fighhting side by side with the Green Arrow.
Echikunwoke was a series regular on the sci-fi series The 4400, as the adult version of the mysterious Isabelle Tyler. Echikunwoke left the show in 2007. Echikunwoke has also been seen in the MTV soap opera, Spyder Games, as Cherish Pardee, a coffee house singer and in Like Family as Danika. She also has a recurring role in the first season of24 as David Palmer’s daughter, Nicole. In season 7 of CSI: Miami, Echikunwoke joined the cast as the new Medical Examiner, Dr. Tara Price. She appeared on the show for one season.
