The least any one who considers himself a Nigerian should do is to be able to recite our national anthem and say the pledge. After that, we can now talk about living by the creeds so that what was spoken is not bottled or left in an immobile or infertile state.

Some ambassadorial nominees could not sing the anthem. Apparently they are ignorant of the words, they probably have long considered it a waste of time to store up such lines in their heads. They may as well fling the usual excuse which poor people would :that they are on the look out for stomach infrastructure rather than a more anthem.

But what kind of disease do we call this one? Even primary school students have the anthem on their finger tips , including the very ones who come last in the class can participate without worries, they will even spice it up by drumming on their desks. And I am twenty four hours sure that most of our elected leaders cannot recite the anthem too.

Technology has rescued such people by allowing us have the sound track, People then prefer placing their palm on their chest and allow the track play till finish without them batting their lips. But they usually nod while the sweet sound play.

There is so much ignorance in our seats of power and We keep electing these disappointing figures.
