His Excellency, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was in a meeting today with representatives of the Kebbi State Ministry of Lands, Surveyor General and Consultant Neil Pullar on the conversion of paper landed documents to electronic at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

In his statement, Mr. Pullar, a consultant based in New Zealand explained that the essence of the completed project was to improve governance, the introduction and training of government officials on the computerized system of the production/processing of certificates of occupancy.

The project was donated by World Bank and FOA introducing a software that creates a collaboration with the Ministry of Lands to ensure smooth and faster processing. He added that hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Justice, 4 page documents were reduced to one or two pages in cognizance of the law with Kebbi State officials trained to take on the job henceforth.

Mr. Pullar was presented with traditional regalia by the Hon. Commissioner and Surveyor General as he expressed his excitement and gratitude. Governor Bagudu thanked him for his work so far and mentioned that he was always welcome to return to Kebbi State at anytime.
