Obiano yesterday took the success story of his leadership journey to the ancient Benin city, the state's capital, where he urged the people to vote for the Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Earl Osaro Onaiwu.Pulling a massive campaign crowd to Edo state for the flag off of campaign for the APGA governorship Candidate of Edo state, Governor Willie Obiano alongside the Deputy Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke, the National Chairman of APGA, Victor Ike Oye, and a host of other party stalwarts from across the country first visited the Palace of Edaiken Nselu, Ehenede Erediawa, for a homage courtesy call. From the Edaiken Nselu 's residence, the campaign train also paid a courtesy call on the Former governor of Old Bendel State, General Samuel Ogbemudia, who expressed joy to receive the august visitors assuring them of his support having been a friend of the party.

At King's Square, Benin city, the venue of the campaign rally, APGA flags struggle for space with excited party faithful dancing and chanting the party Songs.
