Hell fire is one of the most fearful and dreadful doctrines of the bible. Many preacher try as much as possible to avoid it or not to scare people about it. Some minister feel it is out of proportion to preach hell fire message in their churches that the people need the message of love and not the message that will make people feel uncomfortable. The imagination that one will burn in eternity forever and ever in hell fire, frighten so many church goer. Despite the love of Jesus for the world he still have place for disobedient children. Originally hell was prepare for the devil and his angel. But unfortunately men choose to be there despite the sacrifice on the cross to redeem them.
Jesus told us about the gravity of hell. That it is better to have your hand cut than allowing the body in hell. Hell is place of gnashing of teeth. Their worm die not neither is the fire quench it is a continuous burning. The horror of hell make many preacher to imagine whether the message of hell is a reality or story to make people believe the gospel. Cult group like Jehovah witness never agree with the bible truth rather they claim that hell is a grave.
The Greek word for hell is Gehenna or Hades, a place of continuous burning of fire. Another compartment of hell is Tartarus where disobedient angel are kept till they will be finally judge. It is also known as a bottomless pit. Jesus show that hell is a place of torment. Sinner will be confine in the compartment of hell after which they will be transfer to the lake of fire. The devil and the false prophet will later be transfer to the lake of fire.
it is better to believe the reality of hell because they will be punishment for sinner and backsliders who refuse to repent.
