The Ministry of Niger Delta has shown that it is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in the running of its affairs The Minister Pastor Usani Uguru has maintained that the ministry under his leadership will work in line with President Buhari's Change Agenda to ensure public trust in the biding process of all contracts and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. This is because "transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what the government is doing, public participation enhances government's effectiveness and improves the quality of its decisions, while collaboration actively engages Nigerians in the work of government". The minister holds that "openness will strengthen Nigeria's democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government".

Anyone that wins any contract should prepare to deliver. We do not want any abandon projects here and there.

Kudos to this administration for exploring open bidding where everything is made public. Before some disgruntled elements will claim they are not in the know.
