BEVERLY HILLS, AUGUST 9, (THEWILL) – The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Tuesday noted that some individuals and groups now enjoy berating the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration over the poor state of the economy which was not caused by the present government.

He stated this at the special town hall meeting organized by the ministry in collaboration with the Alumni Association of the National Institute, AANI, in Abuja, calling on other organizations to join hands with the government to move our country forward.

The minister said, “At a time that some individuals and groups have made it their pastime to continually castigate government over an economic situation which is not its own making, but has been working hard to mitigate, this Association has chosen instead to engage with the government.

“In other words, by their decision to hear from the government, ask questions and also make their own input, AANI has chosen to be a part of the solution, rather than to compound the challenges.@

“Let me also appeal to other organizations across the country to emulate the Alumni Association by joining hands with the government to move our country forward. The task of nation building is for all Nigerians. Government alone cannot do it.”

.. The same way you made castigating GEJ your hobby cool..

How many organisations did you join in the past to move our country forward?

.. Or you want people to keep quiet when prices of all commodities skyrocket with diminishing purchasing power?

How many times have you screamed for GEJ to resign? eh, Alhaji Lai Lalasticlala

Hypocricy at it's peak... How about those that have made Blaming and using derogatory words on the former president as their pastime? How about the individual/group that have formed the habit of pointing accusing fingers on everything but themselves?

When exactly will be the state of the economy be Buhari's making? When? I don't understand this irresponsibility.

Does it imply we cannot hold buhari responsible for the economy or anything? This their twisted logic doesn't really hold any water.

Excuses upon excuses. I should keep insulting the former doctor who mismanaged my leg and exalt the current one who's doing worse.

Nonsense comments

"...enjoy berating the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration over the poor state of the economy which was not caused by the present government."

- Since the government knows it all, then they should act responsibly. They caused the poor state of economy with their old-school policies.
From fuel prices to forex to kerosene prices to job losses to huge unemployment to lack of direction in the macro-economy.

Useless government angry

They haven't seen anything.

They thought leadership was about security power. They said gold governance want rocket science. This is it.

Nigerians aren't fools. They know how they fared economically a few years ago, especially 2015. Now a bag of rice is worth more than their minimum wage and Lai Mohammed expects them to remain silent?

Anti corruption fight doesn't put food on the tables of the masses.

You made a life and career out of castigating GEJ. Why do you find fault with others like you now?

Before GEJ, few people knew about you in Lagos and Kwara states.

The hypocrisy of APC is very deafening. If they heeded to the advice they're giving now way back during GEJ's tenure, Nigeria would have been better off.

I know that lai mohammed reads nairaland comments. In fact I once saw anti-Gej comments he culled from Nairaland and advertized on The nation newspapers and other tabloids during the last election for propaganda purpose.

...And I ask you verily verily Mr Lai(r) Mohammed, what did you make your pastime pre-Buhari era? Romancing GEJ your then president? Your mouth diarhoea ensured that the Office of the president is the least respected. GEJ was thick-skinned but is your buhari that thick-skinned? No!
