We need prayer to overcome our challenges as a Nation. May GOD Almighty answer our prayer and bless this country in JESUS Name. AMEN |

What about the previous prayers, where are the results? Don't get me wrong, I'm no atheist; however, I believe HARD WORK and DETERMINATION are the key ingredients for our nation to move forward. Late Lee Kuan Yew never had monthly crusades or vigils, yet he and his team transformed Singapore from third world to first world in a generation. Mind you, she had her independence in 1965, so no one should come and talk about age. Even the bible said faith without work is dead. 9 Likes |

Now tell me, if religion is really d disease u paint it to be, how did USA become as great as it is today?? No one is asking u to believe in religion buh plsss show some respect for people's choices... Itz not as if ur fancied atheism has improved d standard of your life. 5 Likes |

Acidosis: Where is the hug emoji?! I am tired of listening to and reading posts of these postmodernist atheists ! Whadafuck is wrong with praying now, eh? These atheists should just leave us alone to wallow in our stupidity abeg! While I am not particularly fond of of our MOGs, these modern day pseudo-intellectuals are becoming increasingly intolerant and annoying, their litany of posts here on NL are often a contest of chest beating and lacking in substance half the time, there is nothing wrong with having faith and believing in God, if it is good enough for Pascal, Faraday, Newton, Al-Khowarizmi et al, it is good enough for some of us. Some people will just come online and start insulting our intelligence with a barrage crap as if their modern day father Richard Dawkins does not go about preaching atheism and charging £000s to speak publicly. Abeg make una shift make we pray, no one is stopping you from doing whatever it is y'all do! 10 Likes |

plaetton: It's because of such fhuckers that I became MadCow because if these Men and their followers are the sane right thinking ones, I must be out of my mind crazy.. Both men will meet in Abuja, hold a mega crusade, collect all manner of offerings disguised under various names in exchange for spiritual favors from the clouds. They will then go back to their luxury hotels, split the loot and go back to living large tax free whilst their followers return to their misery waiting on the promised blessings to fall out the sky into their laps.. And in the mind of their gullible supporters, they would have done more for the Nation in those few days of prayers than the President and his entire cabinet. The one thing I know for sure is that should I ever go so broke and desparate enough to become a Con artist, best believe I will be heading straight into the long con business that is religion. 17 Likes |

naijababe: This has nothing to do with Atheists and or Atheism.. And for you to say you are tired of Atheists who are far far outnumbered hundreds of thousands to one is just too funny to even be considered as half truth. Even here on Nairaland, the believers of the two most followed faiths have sections dedicated to them and none for unbelievers so how can you say you are tired of seeing the few that are standing up to the majority.. Try another intro Bro.. This one you picked is dead on arrival. 7 Likes 1 Share |

MadCow1: First off bro, I ain't a bro, I am a babe, check the moniker again. Secondly, on NL here, you cant talk about anything to do with faith or prayers without some 'intellectual' ranting off about why religion and faith are the problems of the world, Nigeria, yada yada yada!!! If people are lazy and seek short-cuts rather than apply their God given wisdom/brain to solve their man made problem that is not the problem of religion. In fact, I would argue that such people are frauds themselves and if they get scammed, they deserve it. Thirdly, atheists being outnumbered is neither here or there, the fact remains that atheists get a *b0ner* when topics like these are posted because everybody is a lagbaja online; and the two faiths may have sections dedicated to them, it hasn't stopped atheists from pissing on them consistently. Besides, Seun is an atheist, his fellow atheists can ask him to create a section for them. 4 Likes |

Yes, we need prayers but we still have to do the needful because God will not do for man what man can do for himself and that is why he gave us faculty to think, hands and legs to physically steer us. Why Abuja township stsdium for prayers when you can do it in your church. If both Christian and Muslim clerics preach the right things in the church or mosque, Nigeria would be a good place to live because this politician's are religious men. Not until then all this are thrash and a mockery on an average Nigerian. 1 Like |

plaetton: I agree partly with some of your comments but, you need to understand the hopelessness, helpless and disillusioned state people get by daily only to find succor in messages that inspires and motivates them to face thier daily life challenges. Most advanced countries seem to relegate religion to the background cos he is health needs no physician, its the sick. By the sick Im refering to the black race generally who have been deprived, exploited, and divided in some many ways 3 Likes |
