According to the statement issued by the organizing committee, the weeklong event would kick start on 13th August, 2016 with reception of two of its sons, Mike Ogbodu and Ovie Oyokominor who served the nation and retired as commissioner of police. It also stated that on the same day, chieftaincy titles would be conferred on distinguished personalities of the kingdom.

It would be recalled that the annual prayers day was set aside every year to rededicate the kingdom into the hands of God, where sons and daughters of the kingdom converge to pray and intercede for the kingdom.

The last year prayer which was held at St. Felix Catholic Church, Oghareki, where the traditional ruler of Oghara kingdom, Orefe 111 renounced the kingdom from all sorts of idol worshiping, sacrifice with the use of human or animal blood.

The monarch during the maiden annual prayers day, lay cause on kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism and any other social vices capable of bringing serious threat to the peace and development of the kingdom.
