And they still go with a convoy of ten exotic jeeps and 2 BMW bikes going in front to clear road

Anyway, if truly we understand and start holding people responsible about all these borrowing they do and come up on the pages of the newspaper to showcase their so-called legendary achievements in 1 or 2 years, then we ain't have any good and devoted leaders.

I rest my case..

Funny why states in the nd still borrow despite 13% extra alloc without anything on ground that reflect such huge alloc. Imagine Bayelsa with a population of less than 1.5m earning more than Lag (over 10m) and Kano (over 10m) and they will still need bailout. What exactly are they doing with their money? NDDC and MoND are are in charg of capital and other developmental project for God's sake.

Lol... Osun state should be bailed by Otedola or Tinubu .
Bayelsa by GEJ..
It goes to repay debt and not into the FG's purse.

If these bail-out funds were given to business enterprises, they would have produced better result than what we are seeing now. State govt just frittered the fund without justifiable returns

Ogbeni Aregbe should be arrested immediately for poor management. A state on deficit allocation? I pity the governor who will succeed Aregbe. The should give him 4 more terms to face the problem he started.

Three yorubaa states : Osun, Ekiti and Ogun. I'm not surprised...You see why they love One Nigeria to continue? They cannot survive without Federal oil money. They will be telling you they are sophisticated until they sophisticate themselves into debt. They claim Ogun has more industries than all SE...Lol. Yet Ogun can't even pay 1.8 billion naira federal debt. SMH

Nice move! Now governors will have to think on their feet and steady their ships, also citizens can hold their governors responsible.

Campaign promises won't be lip service anymore. Roll up your sleeves governors, its time to work.

If all the State in Nigeria are using their allocations well, there will be no need for them to borrow from federal government or from any other source.

All the state governors should wake up and begin to make good use of their allocation and also work for their internal generated revenue to protect them on the raining day.

Good for them. It serves them right. The governors must learn to be proactive and develop their internally generated revenue to survive. No more time for lazy ass pot bellied governors who wait for federal allowee to share amongst themselves and their cronies.

Let's states generate their own revenue....hope everybody can look into the over advantageous effect of true federalism/regionalism..

The feeding bottle system of government is unsustainable. ...only a mad person would still think it can be sustained....let each state look inwards and harness all resources to generate money...We can't continue like this forever...

Mumu country with Mumu leaders and followers who support them.... undecided

U cant buy Osun because the on going in Osun right now can buy your state, she may receive nothing from FG allocation, but she is using the bailout and IGR to execute projects and pay workers and she is better than many states in Nigeria right now.
