Kano Assembly Orders Removal Of Kwankwasiyya Inscriptions On Public Buildings by DamiBukola: 10:49pm On Aug 24, 2016
The Kano State House of Assembly on Wednesday ordered the immediate removal of all Kwankwasiyya inscriptions from public buildings in Kano metropolis and other local government areas of the state.

The directive followed a motion by Alhaji Baffa Babba-Dan-Agundi, member representing Kano Municipal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Education. The motion was unanimously adopted by all the 40 members of the State Assembly.

The House urged the 44 local government councils to comply with the order within one month. The House directed that the Kwankwasiyya inscriptions, linked to former Gov. Rabiu Kwakwanso, be replaced with the names of prominent citizens of the state.

Meanwhile, the development had heightened suspicion that the animosity between Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje and his predecessor had taken a new dimension.

The House had also on Wednesday screened a commissioner nominee, Hajiya Yardada Maikano-Bichi, whose name was submitted
on Monday.

Now, Kwankwaso would want to attract sympathy abi? He became a Governor twice and Minister under the PDP and later dumped the party and pretended all was well and he was a new creature. Him and shameless old Obasanjo have refused to acknowledge the hand that fed them, how can other mouths acknowledge their own hands when they feed them?

He who is not loyal should not expect loyalty from others.

Iya baawo ni? Baby O nko?

As for Kwankwasiyya, it's cringe worthy for one individual to ascribe so much importance to himself, credible honour is when others confer it, one should never force it..

Gradually, Kwankwaso is being made a pariah in a state he bestrode like a colossus. When you betray the fingers that fed you and the hands that raised you, this is what you get.
Karma ti take over, back to back

Though a welcome development, my own thinking is why has Ganduje been fixated on Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso and not execute his own project? Ganduje and ALL members of KASHA were part of the Kwankwasiyya Movement that brought them to power, why the hating on their former mentor?

Power is transient indeed
