Pep did a mistake allowing vinny to play a full match after been side line for almost 4months due to injury. He should have taken him off after the second goal. Though clichy said he(vinny) told him that he is fine. But I don't trust that, at least he would be absent for atleast 1month. Cos he has work out of the field some couple of game like that and it took him long time b4 he recover.
Nevertheless, I wish our capoo speedy recovery.

I agree. I think he felt a pain and decided to go for a check up. I agree with you that our defence general should wait another month. I know it is tough on him but it will help him. He needs rest.

Kevin De Bruyne Is One Of The Best Players In The World

Manchester City's display against Bournemouth was brilliant. The Cityzens dominated the game and put four past the hardworking team coached by Eddie Howe.

After the game, Guardiola said Bournemouth was the best team his side faced so far. Despite this, one player of Manchester City stood out as a super star.

Kevin De Bruyne scored a goal and had an assist. He was also instrumental in the two other goals scored by Sterling and Iheanacho.

Guardiola believes Kevin De Bruyne is among the top players in the game.

Kevin De Bruyne is top quality because of his ability to do well in tight spaces. A lot of good players do well when they play in space but De Bruyne excels in tight spaces too.

In the game against Manchester United, Kevin De Bruyne showed this quality in the goal Iheanacho scored. Surrounded by Manchester United players, Kevin De Bruyne took a low curling shot that was difficult for David De Gea, the Manchester United goalkeeper to go after. De Gea did not move for the ball. The ball bounced off the bar and Iheanacho tucked it in. Very few players can find space in tight positions and only one of the best, Kevin De Bruyne could.

Against Bournemouth, De Bruyne showed his brilliance when he disguised his free kick and drove the ball into the ground corner of the post. He scored a wonderful free kick, shooting under the Bournemouth wall. That was another case of De Bruyne excelling with players in front of him.

In his assist to Gundogan, there were players around him. He held the ball and attracted some Bournemouth players to him. Iheanacho made a run to the left, creating a gap for Gundogan. Kevin De Bruyne showed the same brilliance, slotting the ball into the gap. Gundogan made no mistake and scored the goal.

Good players are good in some areas of the game. Some, defending, some passing, some crossing and others scoring.

The best players can do most of these. They combine their footballing abilities with brilliant thinking.

Kevin De Bruyne is one player who is brilliant on the ball and his intelligence makes him exceptional. His ability to thrive in tight spaces makes him an important player of Guardiola. He operates well in tight conditions and makes room for his team-mates to excel in the spaces created.

Kevin De Bruyne is top quality and we expect more memorable performances from the Belgian midfielder.

Guardiola Has A Selection Boost

Guardiola's Manchester City side won Swansea 2-1 in the EFL Cup without some key players in the team. Manchester City will play Swansea in the English Premier League and will field a stronger side with most of the key players returning to the starting line-up.

Guardiola did not play David Silva who was a regular in his starting line-up due to an injury the Spanish midfielder picked up before the Champions League game against Gladbach. With Silva winning his fitness battle, he might make it back to the starting line-up of the Cityzens.

Guardiola will have other players like Gundogan, Aguero, Sterling, Fernandinho and the top quality Kevin De Bruyne returning to the team. The win against Swansea showed the depth of the team's strength and these players returning to the starting line-up means Swansea should expect Manchester City to play with more intensity and quality in this game.

Kevin De Bruyne and Gundogan fared well in the attack midfield without David Silva. There is a chance Gundogan might go to the bench with David Silva back. Gundogan had a fine performance against Gladbach and scored his first goal in the game against Bournemouth. Dropping him will prove tough for Guardiola.

Manchester City will welcome Sergio Aguero who did not play in the last three domestic games. The super striker was in fine form in Europe when he scored a hat-trick against Gladbach. Kelechi Iheanacho who filled the striking role due to Aguero’s suspension did well. He scored three goals in four games and he can serve as a quality option on the bench.

David Silva's return is a big boost to the squad and Guardiola will hope the fine form continues. His side won all games played so far this season. Winning all nine games is impressive and we can keep this up in the game against Swansea.

Record Breaking Guardiola Can Break Another

Guardiola has a history of breaking records since he started his senior coaching career at Barcelona. He did the same at Bayern Munich, breaking lots of records set by great coaches at the Allianz Arena. Against Bournemouth, Guardiola set a record at the club, where he won his first eight games. The record the Spanish tactician broke, stood for over a hundred years.

This is remarkable but it seems the former Barcelona boss is not stopping here. He has another record that he can break. With his side playing with much intensity and confidence, there is a chance the record-breaking genius might smash another Manchester City record set by Manuel Pellegrini. Guardiola can break the longest winning run at the club. City’s longest winning run is 11 matches, a record set by Manuel Pellegrini.

Guardiola has a tough task ahead to break the record set by Pellegrini. He has to win our next three games against, Swansea, Celtic in the Champions League and Tottenham. With the confidence and intensity shown by the team since the arrival of Guardiola, this is possible for the tactical genius to do.

City Players Show Instincts To Adapt To Guardiola's Philosophy

Since Pep Guardiola's arrival at Manchester City, the manager introduced an incisive and free-flowing football that made City win all the games they played so far season. The players showed intelligence to adapt to the kind of football Guardiola wants the club playing.

Manchester Evening News revealed that Guardiola refused to take credit for the creative play that lead to Clichy's strike that put City on course for a 2-1 win and the fourth round of the EFL Cup.

Manchester City scored some brilliant goals so far. Goals that show the players' development working with the manager. In the EFL Cup game against Swansea, there was a goal scored by Clichy that will rank as one of the best goals we scored since Guardiola's arrival. A sweeping move from the keeper, ended with Clichy on the right side of the penalty area of Swansea and Clichy scored the goal.

Guardiola brought an adventurous playing style to the club, where he made some inventive positioning of players. He played Kolarov as a central defender in some games and Kolarov looks brilliant. Guardiola made the full backs drift into midfield in some games and this helped us move the ball easily while in possession. This also helped us deal with counter attacks when we lose the ball.

The goal scored by Clichy showed the players instinctive growth. They have a better understanding of the movements Guardiola wants of the players and the results are refreshingly original. During most of our plays, Guardiola makes players change positions and others covering the gaps created. This was what happened during Clichy's goal.

Guardiola might not want to take credit for the inventive way that goal came but his creative ideas sparked the intelligence in the players. They showed qualities we did not know they have. Their quick thinking, passing, running into spaces and covering gaps created, showed how far the players improved.

That was a brilliant goal. We expect to see more as the players get better understanding of Guardiola's tactics.

Fernando Is An Important Player Under Guardiola

When Manchester City announced Guardiola would take over from Pellegrini as the boss at the Etihad, many penciled Fernando as one of the players that will leave. He did not look like a player who would help Manchester City become a team that plays attractive attacking football with great intensity.

When Guardiola took over, he assured the Brazilian he was part of his plans and Fernando showed this in the game against Manchester United.

In the Manchester derby, Jose Mourinho adopted a strategy of sending long balls to his tall players. Ibrahimovic, Pogba and Fellaini caused us problems.

Guardiola needed a player who was tall and able to make intelligent passes to help do two things. Stop the aerial threats of the red devils and create goal scoring opportunities.

Fernando came in and did this well. He brought balance to our midfield and played some neat passes with the midfield players.

Guardiola rested some key players in the EFL game against Swansea. City did not have Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Fabian Delph.

Guardiola brought in Fernando to the side to help the midfield. Fernando battled an injury for two weeks and he was not in the best physical condition. He did not let his fitness affect his game and had a fantastic performance.

Guardiola's faith in Fernando helped the Brazilian's confidence. His strong performances in the Manchester derby and the EFL Cup game against Swansea shows Fernando is an important player to Guardiola. Fernando might not play regularly for the side but he helped the team win games. Fernando will come in more games and he will help the team win more games.

City Does Not Need The Italian Defensive Genius

Kompany left the pitch during Manchester City's EFL Cup game against Swansea. It seems the captain and leader of Manchester City did not over come his injury trouble despite a long layoff.

Manchester Evening News reported that Guardiola may make another move to sign Juventus defender, Leonardo Bonucci.

Guardiola admires the brilliant defender and he would make a great addition to the club. Leonardo Bonucci is brilliant on the ball. He has a good technique, makes runs from the defence when there is a gap and he is an excellent ball passer.

This explains why Guardiola wanted the defending genius during the summer transfer window. Bonucci's reading of the game and interceptions makes him an asset to any team that has him.

Despite his experience and good quality, City Can cope without him. Juventus put a £50 million price tag on Bonucci and that will cost the team a lot.

Also, Bonucci is 29 years and paying such amount for a player who will not do much for the team in few years to come seems a huge cost for the defender.

We have defenders who did well since Guardiola took over. Stones joined the team and he improved under Guardiola. Otamendi showed improvements in areas we did not know he was capable of doing. Otamendi showed he can also pass the ball and make runs. Guardiola converted Kolarov to play as a central defender in some games and he excelled. We also have the young Tosin Adarabioyo who can also play in defence. Kompany Is a cause of concern but he can win his injury battle.

If Leonardo Bonucci was a young player, like Stones and Sane, we can see the huge transfer fee as an investment for the future.

The defenders we have are not up to Bonucci or Kompany's quality. They are getting better working with the Guardiola. Instead of spending much to get Bonucci, we should stick to the ones we have.

Am with you 100percent with all respect to bonucci, we have enough developed and developing younger star..though the might not have experience like bonucci, but with time they are going to be the best cos the are talented and committed.. We should save our penny from buying bonucci

It won't take them time to adapt cos where already playing possessive football before the arrival of pep, I think after arsenal and swansea city we are the next club that cherish possessive football in epl, so pep just have to make them more creative and adjust the style of retrieving a lost ball wic we can see that it has improved a lot, we now retrieve ball withing 20-30seconds after lossing it and we are more creative now..even our defense line are creative and our last game against swansea is an evidence.
The next thing I want him to work on is keeping cleansheet cos we are a football club who cherish clean sheet.

Your point on retrieving the ball is accurate. Guardiola gave the best time limit as within six seconds. We are still far from it. Clearly the players are adapting and I can not imagine how they will play by January transfer window.

City Players Need To Reduce Their Mistakes

Manchester City started impressively this season and they hope to continue improving. They won all nine games they played this season and the football is attractive. Manchester City defeated Swansea 2-1 in the EFL Cup game. Guardiola fielded a weakened side and some of the young players worked hard to make the team win.

Even though the team looks good. The wins look impressive but there is still room for improvement.

Manchester Evening News reported that Manchester City players know how they can improve on their display against Swansea, according to Gael Clichy.

The team looks brilliant when you look back at the goals, the quick exchange of passes and decision-making in the box.

The players look improved and fresh. They work hard when they lose the ball and show intelligence when opponents crowd them.

Despite these, the players make mistakes during play and give chances away to the opposing players. This can cause problems if we face a side that is good at punishing mistakes. Some top teams need few mistake from the opposing players to win the game.

The players have to learn to play with their heads up. They need to make their decisions quick before the opponents close them down. They need to watch players who are reading the plays to intercept the ball. City players should practice the weight of their passes because sometimes, they hit the ball too hard or too soft.

If they correct these areas and keep possession better, the team will improve.

Guardiola Is The Right Mentor For The City Academy Youngsters

Guardiola since his time at Barcelona showed faith in young players. The heads of City invested millions of pounds to set up the Etihad Campus, which is one of he beat football academy structures in Europe. They signed promising players to groom in the club and Guardiola is the right man to lead the products of this academy.

At Barcelona, Guardiola signed a young Pique from Manchester United who became a top player under Guardiola's guidance. Pedro, Bojan and Busquets played a part in the multiple titles Guardiola won at Barcelona.

At Bayern Munich, he helped the growth of promising youngsters in the club, including Kingsley Coman, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joshua Kimmich and Gianluca Gaudino.

Players like Sterling, Stones, Kolarov and Otamendi look improved players since the arrival of Guardiola. This shows the work Guardiola carries out on the training pitch with players.

The youngsters of Manchester City will work with a man who will spend hours on the training ground, passing his knowledge of the game to them.

Guardiola wasted no time showing his readiness to work with the young players of the Etihad campus, promoting five of them. Aleix Garcia, Tosin Adarabioyo, Angus Gunn, Angelino and Pablo Maffeo.

These youngsters will work with Guardiola this season. From the preseason game against Bayern Munich where some of the academy graduates played against some of the best players in the World, the young players looked improved, working with Guardiola.

The time they spent with Guardiola showed that they were under the right person to lead and groom them into top professionals.

Aleix Garcia came on as a substitute in the game against Bournemouth. He had a good game and followed up his fine performance with a good game against Swansea in the EFL Cup. Aleix Garcia scored in that game and distributed the ball nicely.

With the quality showed by the other youngsters in that game, we can expect the City Football Academy to produce quality players with Guardiola in charge of Manchester City.

Guardiola Keeps City Calm Despite The Raging Storm

A hundred percent record after playing teams like Manchester United, Steaua Bucharest, Gladbach, Swansea, West Ham and Stoke City.

The ride is interesting and Guardiola is taking the club to great heights.

The results look calm and steady but Pep Guardiola did this with a raging storm around Manchester City. He came in and took some big decisions that many thought would affect the team's balance. He declared Nasri not fit to play with the team. He made it clear that Joe Hart did not have what it takes to play with the team. He dropped Yaya Toure from the Champions League team and recently told Dmitri Seluk that the player he represents, Yaya Toure, will not play with the team until he apologises.

These big decisions could rock the team but Guardiola knew he made the right calls. He did not make any of these personal. This was about the team growing and getting better. He wants the team to press with high intensity. An overweight Nasri can not help in this. This made Nasri work hard and he returned a better player. A player that was hard for Guardiola to cut from the team.

Guardiola's possession-heavy style requires a keeper who can help the team build attacks from the back with his feet and help the team keep possession when under pressure. Joe Hart could not do this, so he opted for a better keeper, Claudio Bravo.

Yaya Toure's agent said some mean things about Guardiola and Manchester City. Guardiola does not want an agent making remarks that affects the team. He cut Yaya Toure from the team and asked for an apology. The apology is not just for him. It is for the players and the club. When Yaya Toure is on the pitch, Guardiola does not want bitterness in the team.

Despite the raging storm around Manchester City, Guardiola kept Manchester City calm and sailing smoothly. This is because it is not about him but the club he serves, Manchester City and the faithful fans of the club.

FIFA Clears City Over The Reported Signing Of Garre

There was a tensed atmosphere around City. Many wondered if FIFA would open disciplinary proceedings against Manchester City. Velez Sarsfield reported Manchester City to FIFA over the signing of Benjamin Garre. Velez Sarsfield determined to make Manchester City get a transfer window ban like Real Madrid and Barcelona. They considered Manchester City's signing of the promising Argentine immoral.

Manchester Evening News revealed that FIFA will not open disciplinary proceedings against Manchester City over their handling of the Benjamin Garre transfer.

Manchester City Insisted that they did nothing wrong while signing the Argentine player. Benjamin Garre moved from Argentina to England because he had an Italian passport. This meant, he could sign for Manchester City when he turned 16 years.

FIFA confirmed that after analysing Velez Sarsfield reports, there was no element to justify the opening of disciplinary proceedings against Manchester City.

Nice that we are through with this Garre fiasco. I hope Benjamin Garre was worth the trouble. After the transfer ban Barcelona faced, Txiki Begiristain who is Manchester City's technical director will not make a careless decision that will cause us the same problem.

It was nice FIFA responded fast to the situation and cleared Manchester City. We can now go back to talking of how good the team is playing.

Guardiola Can Improve Sergio Aguero

Manchester City succeeded in increasing the number of games won in their one hundred percent start this season. Manchester City won their tenth game of the season after playing ten games. This is a remarkable performance and Sergio Aguero, Manchester City's super striker scored twice in the game.

The first goal came after Aguero created space for himself with a beautiful touch, before driving the ball into the net. The second was a beautifully converted penalty with a chip shot into the center of the post. The Argentine striker showed variations to the way he takes his penalties after he missed two in the Champions League playoff.

Aguero scored 11 goals in six matches he played in. This shows the Argentine striker is among the deadliest strikers in the game but Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's manager still has more to teach the Argentine finisher.

Manchester Evening News reported that despite Aguero’s incredible strike-rate, Guardiola is not completely satisfied with the way Aguero plays.

Guardiola's possession-heavy style demands all players play a major part in building attacks. Aguero is in fine form scoring but he is not doing a lot for the team when building attacks. Sometimes, he is slow during counters and the forwards leave him behind when the team builds attack. Guardiola wants Aguero to drop deep when building attacks and make successive passes to make the build-up play fluid.

Guardiola worked hard with Messi while he was at Barcelona and Messi improved. Guardiola wants to improve the all round play of Aguero. If Aguero listens to Guardiola and works with him, Manchester City will see Aguero play better for the team.

City Struggled Against Swansea

The 3-1 win might flatter our performance. Most fans who watched the English Premier League game between Manchester City and Swansea, had their hands to their pounding chests during the game.

This was not a case of the team not creating chances. We created a lot but the team did not convert their chances. It was not the possession-heavy style of play Guardiola likes. When we tried keeping the ball and moving the ball fluidly, we got close to the opponents and caused them problems. It was not a case of the forward players not able to score goals. When they moved better, Sterling and Aguero scored lovely goals that looked amazing.

The problem came from Swansea putting up a good fight, pressing and being physical on our players. Their players were not ready to go down without a fight. They won some aerial duels and they got close to score. The goal they scored came from them taking advantage of Sagna's slip.

We won the game but Guardiola will go into his office thinking of how to set the team not to go through this kind of performance. Our players looked tired. There were times we acted as if we did not want the win. The pressing of the Cityzens was not energetic and build-up play's intensity was low.

Guardiola brought more fight to the midfield by introducing Fernando. Fernando worked hard to keep the team in the game. He brought a balance to our midfield and his simple passes reduced the amount of balls we gave away. It was good we came out winners but Guardiola needs to work on the players to keep the team's pressing and passing intensity high. We are working with a good system and more energetic performances will prevent this kind of performance.

He brought a balance to our midfield and his simple passes reduced the amount of balls we gave away. It was good we came out winners but Guardiola needs to work on the players to keep the team's pressing and passing intensity high. We are working with a good system and more energetic performances will prevent this kind of performance.

Seluk Makes It Difficult For City To Bring Yaya Toure Back

Many Manchester City fans will like to see their hero play for the club again but not under the environment created by his agent, Dmitri Seluk. Guardiola froze Yaya Toure out of Manchester City's squad and said he will not play the Ivorian midfielder until his agent apologises for his controversial statements against the club and manager.

The request from Guardiola is simple. He believes the remarks by Seluk was rude against the club, players, fans and the manager. An apology would go a long way in bringing Yaya Toure back into the club. Instead of Seluk making it easy for Guardiola to recall Yaya Toure, he continued with more controversial statements against the club on different occasions.

Manchester Evening News revealed that Dmitri Seluk thinks Pep Guardiola has a "s*** personality" and could not win a title at a smaller club. He called on City's board to intervene and reprimand Guardiola for "giving up on a top-class player".

Guardiola knows Yaya Toure and he describes him as a nice guy. However, Guardiola can not work with a player whose agent goes to the media to paint the team bad. Guardiola is the boss of Manchester City and painting him bad is painting the club bad. This is something Seluk should learn. This was why Guardiola froze Yaya Toure.

Apologising was an easy thing to do to get a player Seluk claims he loved back into the team. Instead of apologising, his repeated negative remarks makes it difficult for the City great to play for the squad.

City's board can not intervene because Seluk also paints them bad. They chose Guardiola as a top quality coach to improve the squad. Seluk painting Guardiola bad, means he paints City's board decisions bad. Complaining makes things worse and there is no way out of it. Guardiola is here to manage the team. That is his job and the board will not interfere in the way he runs the club.

City Is Home For Brahim Diaz

Manchester City made youth development a center of its long term strategy and the efforts put in seems to reap fruits. Manchester City have one of the City Football Academy graduates doing well with the senior side. Kelechi Iheanacho who is in fine form with the team shows what Manchester City wants to do with the Etihad Campus. Guardiola also showed faith in the academy when he promoted five players into the senior squad. Angus Gunn, Tosin Adarabioyo, Angelino, Pablo Maffeo and Aleix Garcia.

Despite these guys young ages, when called by the coach, they showed qualities of good players. Aleix Garcia had a good game against Bournemouth and he scored in the EFL game against Swansea.

City hopes to raise not just good players but better people. The academy staffs also educate them and encourage them to work hard. Among the players in the academy now, there is an exciting player, Brahim Diaz who looks destined for greatness. In the EFL Cup, when the game was far from over, Pep Guardiola chose to give the youngster a chance in the field. This shows the faith the manager has in his quality. Despite his small stature, the youngster makes mazy runs against players bigger than him. His intelligence makes him make the right choices with the ball and he makes his way to gaps created by the opposing players to make the team's passing fluid. He works hard when the team loses the ball and helps retrieve the ball. He also reads the plays of the opponents and intercepts the ball.

Guardiola showed faith in given the Spanish 17-year-old playmaker a chance in a game of that quality and we expect the youngster to improve as he works with the manager, coaches and trains with the top quality players at Manchester City. Brahim Diaz is at home with the City team and it seems his is a gem in City's hand.

Guardiola Transformed Kolarov Into One Of the Best Center-Backs In the Premier League

Aleksandar Kolarov was one of the players many thought would leave Manchester City after poor performances under Manuel Pellegrini. Reports suggested he would join Besiktas. He was one of the players who survived the big decisions Guardiola took at the club. With players like Samir Nasri, Joe Hart, Wilfried Bony and Mangala leaving on loans, Guardiola knew he could make Kolarov play better. Guardiola converted Kolarov from a left back into a center back. With a possession-heavy style that requires ball playing defenders, the place suited Kolarov. He showed qualities of top defenders and his technique on the ball made him a tough competition for other defenders like John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi and Vincent Kompany.

Manchester Evening News reported that Pep Guardiola believes Aleks Kolarov will be a wanted man after transforming the Serbian into one of the best centre backs in the Premier League.

Kolarov's all round play helps the team build from the back and he is comfortable with the ball. This helps the team keeps possession. Kolarov's contract runs out in 2018 and he might leave the club. If he keeps getting better, Guardiola will find it difficult letting the brilliant defender go. If he does go, some top clubs will want their hand on him.

City Faces A Tough Battle Without Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City is in fine form after winning all the ten games played so far this season. Despite a tough fight from Swansea, City won the game 3-1. Kevin De Bruyne came off injured towards the end of the game. He is in fine form for the team and losing him means Manchester City will play some important games without his brilliance.

The Mirror reports that Kevin de Bruyne is a doubt for Manchester City's Champions League clash with Barcelona after a doctor ruled him out for four weeks with a hamstring injury.

Manchester City are close to breaking their record of winning eleven consecutive games. They can do this by winning Celtic in their midweek Champions League game and a weekend clash against Tottenham. Kevin De Bruyne who is the star performer of City, is a key player to do this. Losing him makes the challenge harder. The Cityzens can break this record without him. We have to approach this one game at a time and forget the pursuit of the record. Our aim is to put up a good display against Celtic. We need to stick to our philosophy and keep possession.

The doctor estimated that Kevin De Bruyne will not play for the team for four weeks. This means that the Belgian midfielder might miss the weekend clash against Everton after the international break and the midweek clash with Barcelona. We will miss Kevin De Bruyne if he misses those games but we have good players that can help us cope with the brilliant midfielder's absence. It is sad Kevin De Bruyne will not play those games but we have to forget about missing him. We should focus on winning the Celtic game.

City Can Keep Winning Without Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne is one of the players who did well to keep the team winning. Guardiola explained that he was lucky to coach him. That shows how important Kevin De Bruyne is to the Cityzens. His brilliance in tight spaces and his ability to make the right passes when under pressure makes him a key player of the squad.

In the English Premier League game against Swansea, Kevin De Bruyne limped off the field with a hamstring injury. It was a big blow to the side who won all ten games played so far this season. With Kevin De Bruyne out, Manchester City faces a tough task maintaining their winning streak.

Manchester Evening News revealed that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola believes City can continue winning without star player Kevin De Bruyne. He confirmed De Bruyne will undergo tests on the muscular injury ahead of the club's games against Celtic and Tottenham this week.

Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best players of the City team this season and his quality helped the team win most games. The task ahead is harder without him but we can keep on winning if we stick to our plan of keeping possession. We need to believe in what we did so far this season. We kept the ball, dominated possession and attacked with pace. We lost Kevin De Bruyne to injury but our players with pace can step up. Players like Navas, Iheanacho, Sane, Nolito and Sterling.

Fernando played brilliantly when he came on in the game against Swansea. He can shield the defence and play as a pivot during Kevin De Bruyne's absence. Fernandinho who showed he can play different positions can help in providing the driving runs Kevin De Bruyne makes. The substitutes like Navas and Fernando came in and the team played well. We need the other players to believe in themselves and step up for the team. Guardiola kept them in the squad because he believes in them. They can do it if they stick to the lessons on the training ground and carry out the coach's instructions.

Kevin De Bruyne is a huge loss but we can keep winning if we believe in our system of play. The players need to work hard to keep the ball, recover the ball when we lose it and the forwards have to play brilliantly when they are close to the goal.

City Is Not Carried Away By The Brilliant Start

Manchester City winning ten successive games shows how improved the team is. The result shows a team of talented players who do the right things on the pitch to win games. What many will not notice is how hard the coaches and the players of the club worked to win these games. It is a case of discipline from the food, to fitness training, practice sessions and hours of tactical drills. Many will not notice the hours the coaches spend going through videos of City's games and the games of the opponents.

It looks as of we are walking to the title but we take every team seriously. We understand the threats from each team. This respect motivates the players and coaches to work hard to win games. This is not a long-term target to break records or win loads of titles. This is a case of the coaches studying their opponents, finding a way for the team to play brilliantly and win against an opponent they consider a big challenge. There is no room to underrate any team in the league. Even the smallest team can cause an upset. The top recognised teams in the league are also putting a good fight for the title.

Sky Sports reported Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola said he never predicted his side would enjoy the success they achieved so early on in the season.

The result of ten successive wins is impressive but the target from the preseason was to play better. Guardiola and his coaches worked hard in improving the way the team played during the preseason. It was not the immediate results that mattered but the players sticking to the philosophy the coach wanted to team to adopt. The impressive results in the Champions League playoff games and the beginning games in the league, gave the players the belief in the system. The players played better individually and they knew the system will yield results.

This is not about a long-term target. It is about improving game by game. Finding our weaknesses and correcting them. City does not dwell on the past results because we face different challenges with different teams. We prepare to play well against the next team. We will play Celtic in the Champions League Group C game and City need to keep treating our opponents with respect. In the game against Swansea, there were times we did not press enough or make fluid passes. The coaching crew will go through the tape and work on the players getting these right in the next game.

City Must Keep Their Humility And Hard Work

Things are going well at Manchester City. We are improving game by game. Our players individually show they are brilliant to handle the ideas of Guardiola. The players are playing better with each game and they work hard for each other to keep the team strong in different areas on the pitch.

The results show the hard work helped the team but we need to keep our humility. If we keep our heads high and feel we are better than the teams we are to play, we might miss details that can hurt us. We need to show respect to every team that we face and work hard to keep playing well.

Sky Sports reported that Raheem Sterling believes Manchester City's route to trophies under Guardiola is to "stay humble".

When we were to meet Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League clash, Guardiola and players like Leroy Sane expressed how good the Gladbach team is. They explained the Gladbach team will press and make it difficult for City to keep possession or build attacks. This humility helped us train hard and we played brilliantly against Gladbach. We should not underrate Celtic but respect the good parts of their game.

Manchester City players need to press with high intensity and keep our passes fluid. We will not have Kevin De Bruyne but the players need to work hard so the team does not miss Kevin De Bruyne's presence.

Manchester City needs to stay humble and respect the next team we face, so we can put up another brilliant display against Celtic.

Guardiola Is Leading A Football Revolution In England

When Manchester City announced that Pep Guardiola will become the next manager of Manchester City, many knew he was a great manager. His records spoke for him. He won multiple League and Cup titles with Barcelona and Bayern Munich. He also won two Champions League titles with Barcelona. The question was, how quickly the players will adapt to the ideas and philosophy of the Spanish tactician?

A fine start in his career as a manager of an English club shows how great he is at passing his philosophy to the players. Manchester City won a fighting Swansea to extend their successive wins to ten games. Pep Guardiola matched the record set by Carlo Ancelotti when he was at Chelsea in 2009, winning his first six Premier League games.

Guardiola worked wonders with his possession-heavy style when the team has the ball and pressing style when the team loses the ball. The players improved playing under the coach. Other coaches in England might adopt the methods of the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss.

According to Sky Sports, Martin Samuel believes Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will change English football.

Many teams in different countries adopted similar styles to what Guardiola wants but the English teams did not see the reason to play this way. In Spain, in different levels of the game, we have keepers and defenders helping to keep possession. In England, many criticised John Stones for doing the same.

There was reluctance in accepting these kind of changes. English people did not see a team winning this way and there was no need for change. As Guardiola continues winning with his possession-heavy and high pressing style, we will see English coaches accepting it and trying to make their teams play this way. As long as they continue, some will get good at it and those that do not adapt will lose to these coaches that adapted.

With time, a lot of teams will play this way and the English people will accept the methods of Guardiola. A sweeper keeper or ball playing defender will not look strange any more. Slowly, the Guardiola's revolution will take place in English football.

City Must Not Underrate Celtic

Manchester City played well in all games played so far this season and the atmosphere around the club is exciting. The players worked hard, pressing and keeping possession. This helped the team keep an excellent win record. This does not mean we should underrate Celtic because of their 7-0 defeat by Barcelona. Celtic want to turn their fortunes around after such humiliating defeat. They want to fight to impress their passionate fans. We need to keep to our plan of pressing our opponents and reducing their chances to keep possession. City players need to work hard as they did in the other games this season.

Manchester Evening News reported that Fernandinho warned that Celtic will fight like a dangerous beast in front of their passionate fans.

Celtic's loss to Barcelona was a painful defeat. Something the players and fans want to forget. The Celtic players will go into that game, hoping to prove to their fans that they can qualify in the tough group. They will play cautiously and try to surprise City with a win.

The players should not underrate Celtic and prepare for the game as if we are to face a team that will fight like an injured beast. We must stop Celtic from causing an upset. Stick to the plan of high pressing. We need to dominate the game and not give Celtic the chance to hurt us. Guardiola's plan worked so far and the players must stick to it.

Bravo Shares The Same Philosophy As Guardiola

It was hard for the City fans to watch their heroic goalkeeper, Joe Hart leave the Etihad on a season-long loan to Torino. Joe Hart was a reliable shot stopper of the team but Guardiola felt the English number one goalkeeper did not suit his style of play. Joe Hart was a good goalkeeper but Guardiola wanted a goalkeeper who offered more to the team than shot stopping. Guardiola wanted a goalkeeper that suited his philosophy and help build attacks from the back.

Guardiola brought Barcelona goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo to replace Joe Hart as the number one goalkeeper at the Etihad. Few games into the season, we can see why the Spanish tactician wanted Bravo at the club. Bravo showed he is comfortable with his feet. He showed brilliance on the ball like a midfielder. He came off his line when the team was under pressure to help the team keep possession. His passing is top quality and he makes the right choices while passing. Against Bournemouth, we saw Bravo and the defenders exchange passes like midfielders to help the team deal with the pressing of the Bournemouth players.

Manchester Evening News reported that Claudio Bravo is happy being more than a goalkeeper at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola.

Bravo joined Manchester City because he shares the same philosophy of the manager. He is good with his feet unlike many goalkeepers. He likes the team to play out from the back and he takes part in the build-up plays. That is why he is off his line to support the team when the opponents press. His style of play makes it easy for the team to keep possession under pressure. Guardiola needed more than just a goalkeeper and he got it in Claudio Bravo.

David Silva's Style Of Play Makes Him A Gem For City

Pep Guardiola brought a style to Manchester City that improved the performances of the players. Many expected some players who did not play well last season to leave the club. These players now look quality under Guardiola. Top of the list was Raheem Sterling. Last season, it seemed Manchester City paid too much to bring the former Liverpool man to the club but this season, Sterling looks improved. Another is Kolarov who Guardiola converted to a centre-back. With his ball playing skills and speed, Kolarov is a transformed man. Every time he plays that role, we see him play with confidence and brilliance.

The Mirror reported that Jurgen Klopp named David Silva as the Premier League player he most admires. He admitted he likes David Silva's style of play.

In the fantastic run of games made by Manchester City so far this season, many names came up for their impressive displays. Names like Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho. Many leave out the brilliant work of the Spanish midfielder. He is one player that played regularly from Roberto Mancini's time at City until now. He was not a player any expected to leave the club with the arrival of Guardiola.

Silva's style of play makes him important to the team. He demands for the ball during play and dictates play with his passing decisions. When we lose the ball, he is one player who will give his all for the team to retrieve it. He is a genius when it comes to playing in a crowded area. He is not dazzling when he is with the ball but artistic in the way he keeps possession. Making smart turns to keep the ball out of the reach of his markers. He creates chances for his team-mates with his cushioned passes and he is part of most of our attacking plays.

During games, Silva makes his presence felt in different areas on the field. Sometimes he is at the wings, making one-touch passes with the wing forwards. Sometimes, he drops deep to make build-up plays fluid. Sometime, he is upfront with the forward, making intelligent passing combinations to unlock stubborn defences. David Silva's attitude is great. He is not one you hear having problems with the coaches and team-mates. He is definitely one of the precious gems at the club.

Guardiola Did Not Disrespect Mourinho

Manchester City had a nice game against Bournemouth. The Cityzens put four past Eddie Howe's side. It was a brilliant display by the team and a convincing win. After the win, Guardiola said Bournemouth was the best he faced so far and many took it as a disrespectful statement against Manchester United and Mourinho. The statement came a week after Guardiola led Manchester City to a 2-1 win in the Manchester derby.

Manchester Evening News reported that Pep Guardiola insisted he didn’t mean to disrespect Manchester United when he said Bournemouth were the best side he faced this season.

When Guardiola referred to Bournemouth as the best team he faced, he did not say this to disrespect Manchester United or Mourinho. He said this to praise the approach of Bournemouth to the game. Eddie Howe's team showed bravery, opting to play possessively and pressing Manchester City. They did not adopt a negative strategy against a side seen as superior.

The other teams Manchester City faced were also difficult to deal with. Just like the problems Manchester United caused. The long ball approach to tall players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Pogba was difficult for City to contain. Guardiola brought Fernando to help deal with the threat.

Guardiola believes his possession-heavy style is the best way to play and he praised Eddie Howe for trying to outplay Manchester City. Even though Bournemouth lost, Guardiola appreciated their bravery to try to outplay a stronger team. Guardiola considers the possessive pattern of play difficult to deal with and Bournemouth played this way. It made it difficult for Manchester City to keep possession against them and their pressing style made our build-up plays difficult.

Guardiola did not disrespect Mourinho or Manchester United. He did not mean to and praised the bravery shown by the Bournemouth players.

Kevin De Bruyne Will Not Stay Out Of The Team For Long

Kevin De Bruyne limped off the pitch in Manchester City's 3-1 defeat of Swansea. He left the pitch because he tore his muscle. City feared they will lose Kevin De Bruyne for about a month but they received a fitness boost that Kevin De Bruyne will make his return for the Manchester City’s Champions League double header with Barcelona.

Manchester City has an impressive one hundred percent start in ten games played this season and Kevin De Bruyne is one of the most impressive players in the team.

Manchester Evening News reported that Pep Guardiola is confident De Bruyne could return after the upcoming international break next month and could start when City host Everton on October 15.

We need Kevin De Bruyne to help the team have a good game against Barcelona. Barcelona is playing well and put seven goals past Celtic in their first Champions League game. When Barcelona come to the Etihad, we expect them to come hard at us.

Kevin De Bruyne showed his is capable of operating under pressure and his intelligence will help us cope with the high pressing of Barcelona. He is one of the players who creates for our forwards and his return will help us play a good game against Barcelona.
