President Buhari received in audience the Alaafin of Oyo HRH Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III at the Statehouse on 25th Aug 2016.
President Muhammadu Buhari has urged traditional rulers to support the efforts of the government in ending the crisis in the Niger Delta. He made the request while in a meeting with the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III who visited him at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday. Speaking with State House Correspondents at the end of the meeting, Alaafin of Oyo said that discussions at the meeting resolved around the problems facing the country including the militancy in the Niger Delta and insurgency in the north.
