Spiritual principles opens and soften our heart, connecting us more deeply and intimately with others, the world around us, and with our own real selves. Most people don't have much in the way of material things, but by practising being conscious and applying specific principles, we can become more spiritual which will bring healing to our spirit, soul and body and can possibly give us those things we desire, through these steps:

Gratitude
Gratitude simply means the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. It is about feeling and expressing appreciation for what we have (however little it may be). It is possible to still show gratitude in spite of feelings such as anxiety, sadness, anger, depression, fear, or physical pain. Sometimes you may have to look a little harder to see the blessings in your life, but there is always something to be grateful for, no matter how negative or desperate the situation seems.

Self-acceptance
Accept yourself exactly as you are. Everybody changes. When you criticize yourself, your changes are negative. When you approve of yourself, your changes are positive. Forgiving yourself for your own past misdeeds is part of self-acceptance. Self-acceptance is being okay with oneself without reservation. It is the sense that, as a human being, you are “good enough” exactly as you are, with all of your challenges and imperfections. It is the understanding and knowledge that nobody, including you, has to be perfect in order to belong in this world.
