FRSC is a retard agency. There's no creativity in their leadership, always adopting old-fashioned approach to solving modern challenges.

Comparing this to the installation of speed limit commercial vehicles one wonders how it would be implemented in a country with no reliable statistics. I trust all these policies are meant to empower some groups of individuals who came up with the ideas. As soon as they make profit, the project will be abandoned.
Haba! Learn to be appreciative. FRSC is one of the leading government agencies with passion for creativity and dynamism. Follow the trends, their creativeness is glaring.

tyre pressure. in Nigeria people are not using the right tyre pressure specified by the car manufacturer's. in a hot country like Nigeria , tyres always increase in pressure when driving with passengers. over inflated tyres will boost when it gets too hot and this will cause an accident.

So much about tyres by FRSC when 90% of the roads in the country are in dangerous state of disrepair.

The FRSC claims about 5,000 lives have been lost on Nigerian roads due to tyre burst from 2010 till date. This has necessitated them to intensify the effort on sensitization programmes and ultimate ban of the use of food-based and substandard sealing pastes mostly used by Vulcanizers to fix tyres across the country.

The Corps Marshal - Boboye Oyeyemi’s interest to intensify this sensitization and enforcement campaign is further reinforced by the House of Representatives’ Resolution (HR.65/2016) to curb the influx of substandard tyres, non-lubricant rims and fake tyre sealing pastes, as well as the use of food-based products on tyres by vulcanizers.

According to him, the Corps Marshal has stressed that Vulcanizers are culpable for the way and manner they improperly handle tyres during repairs, he added that the dangerous practice of engaging fake sealing pastes is capable of causing rusts on rims as well as wears on tyres.

He already met with The Vulcanizers’ Association to intimate them of their inappropriate and dangerous conducts.

Very poor and not well thought out. Have they carried out any tangible research to arrive at this conclusions or it is office and garage gist that led to this? Food sealants do not burst tyres. Before declaring jihad on them, why not find alternative solutions and find out,
1. Is the food sealant really not effective. If not, why? Or must they write MADE IN ABROAD before something works?
2. If it is not not okay, what is the replacement and how much? Is it the usual fake that is now worse than the one you want to ban? Or the one they will adulterate without control? Or somebody wants to make money and sell his sealant that he brought in and about to expire?
3. How will it affect the poor food sellers who have a major customer base daily from vulcanizers across the country? What is the cushion effect of this?
4. How much will the sealant increase price of fixing tyres? A tyre fixed for 200naira, will vulcanizer now say because of sealant, it is now 500naira? These are the things FRSC should think instead of standing around bad roads like street urchins, looking for who to pursue or extort.
