For some it is failures.....

For others, it is either

1.Your school did not get accredited on time

2.You have finished pre-clincials.....but because there was a strike that happened on the hospital side that lasted for months ......you have to wait up to a year before you start clinicals. (And you have spent 4 years in preclincals instead of 3 because ASUU went on strike in your second year....and months were wasted.

3.And even when you cross over, you are delayed by more strikes, and more strikes. Today, NARD , tomorrow JOHESU, the day after ASUU . And then there are the local strikes.

(And here is one thing about strikes....sometimes the strikes happened long before you entered school...but because students were delayed during strikes....you get delayed too.)

4.And let's be frank....med schools are over-crowded. Poor library facilities, poor hostel facilities, etc....all combine to make it a bit difficult to study. A
thanks for the info

The blame for lack of accreditation is shared between school management and ministry of health
Which refused to release the money already approved for the the process they probably put the money in one bank to make interest read this thread and you will understand this issue better https://www.nairaland.com/3315380/lasu-dentistry-nine-years-later

They should vote with there feet and find a better institution..9+ years of schooling then 9+ years of job hunting.

He is studying medicine sir and not plant biology. So he won't even spend 9 weeks job hunting.

Tunde Spending 9years in medical school is not a new thing. So those of you blaming him should go and research on what happen in medical schools in Nigeria before talking. Tunde's case is not exceptional, similar thing is also happening in DELTA State university, Abraka.
My friends who got admitted with me same session 2008/2009 are just writing their final exams after I have graduated 2012, gone for my NYSC and back to medical school and presently in 300level even after working for a few years.

Government wake up and make medical school in Nigeria Interesting!
