Hati13:That's a difficult question to answer. The boundaries like West Africa, Subsaharan, North Africa and all of that are irrelevant when we talk about the evolution of humans. I personally don't think modern populations in "West Africa" are directly descended from Ancient Egypt just because of the stark contrast in timelines, but their ancestors could have had contact with them. I believe "West Africans" or ancestors of modern "West Africans" lived further into North Africa (Northwest Africa) during the green Sahara era. There was nothing like Sub Saharan, because there was no Sahara then. The desert we see now used to be much greener with lush vegetation and vast savannas. There is a lot of evidence for this. Have you heard of the black mummy of the green Sahara found in Uan Muhuggiag, Libya. The child mummy was the earliest mummy found in Africa and it predates Egyptian mummification cultures by 1,000 years. It's possible that this population influenced Egyptian mummification culture. Archaeologists suggest the mummy was black/negroid. Archaeologists have found that the area was populated by Pastoral black/Negroid herders who domesticated animals. The theory goes that the populations were pushed out by new comers/ farmers from the East. In a nutshell, "West Africa" is just a political term. "West Africans" at least back then lived in both "West Africa" and "North Africa" because there was no Sahara then. "North Africa" particularly "Northwest Africa" was just a continuation of "West Africa." So the Ancestors of today West Africans populated both regions, and some still do till today. I explained more about this already. Hati13: I know. My point was that Ethiopian army hates being drawn into an endless war. I was not hinting at human rights. Somalia is the best example. Ethiopian army goes in there and buldozzes the terrorists back in a whoosh and within no time they are out. I actually like it. Our army gets bogged down by strategies and pacification processes before they proceed to the next zone. That was my point; Wenedem! 1 Like |

Isahalbash: Ok. So, what do all these Bades, Ngizims, Kanuris and other minority groups people who have been hausanized (i mean those people from these tribes). What do they identify as? Do they identify as Hausas ethnically or they still retain their original ethnic identity?? Is Kanuri language taught in schools in kanuri speaking areas? Talking about urbanisation, yes i know that it is an all round Nigerian problem, but i don't think this issue affects South-South and South-east Nigerians as such. Almost every state in the SE/SS has an influential, populated, rapidly developing and considerably rich capital city. Some states like Delta, Anambra, Abia even have up to 2-3 of such cities. As for the South-west, Lagos is clearly their problem, but however, places like Ibadan are rapidly developing. But if you look at the whole north, you will see that apart from Kano, Kaduna, Jos, Zaria and Ilorin, no other city can you really regard as well developing. Maiduguri is battling with boko haram which has really reduced it's potentials. Look at states like Kebbi, Sokoto, Taraba, Zamfara, Jigawa, Yobe, Adamawa and others, no viable cities we can really say are rapidly developing and urbanizing. Thank God for Abuja that has come to seriously urbanize states like Nasarawa and Niger. There is a very big gap between the North and the South (if you understand what am talking about). |

NairobiWalker: Dis guy just dey yap me anyha. First of all, I will educate you on how to read and interpret emporis. From the snapshots below, the colors indicates the present states of the highrises and skyscrapers completed, underconstruction, proposed, unbuilt and demolished. A color is placed beside a highrise or skyscraper to indicate its current status. If it is blue, it's a proposed project. Meaning it's doesn't exist neither is it underconstruction. Purple means it's underconstruction. Meaning not yet completed or topped out. Green means it exists or completed. Yellow means unbuilt or abandoned. Red means demolished or no longer exist. Are you learning? Good boy. Now that you have learned something, we will now get to how to count based on what you want. We are only counting skyscrapers completed. Now, you said Nairobi has 15 skyscrapers completed, ba, because you don't know the rules or you want to go your normal way of being mischievous. From the snapshot below, there are so many purple and blue placed beside the buildings to indicate their current status and remember I told you I still double checked from other sources such as Wikipedia and skyscrapercity before I made my conclusions. As a result of that I discovered Teleposta Tower was missing from the list and I included it on the list to show how truthful I carried out my research but you want to be mischievous. Out of the 15 skyscrapers, 2 indicates yellow (abandoned), 5 indicates blue (planned), 5 indicates purple (under construction), 3 indicates green (Completed). However, out of the 5 that indicates purple, 2 indicated the year of completion. Meaning, they are topped out but construction is still going on in the buildings. I didn't stop at that, I still verified the ones that indicates the purple and the blue ones from different sources. And I discovered that some of the blue ones are underconstruction. Since, we based our argument on completed skyscrapers, I did my arithmetic by adding the 3 completed ones with the 2 that indicates the year of completion and it gave me 5 skyscrapers. Then how did I arrive at 6 skyscrapers completed for Nairobi if I made it my alpha and omega source? No, I didn't, I still checked other sources and I discovered Teleposta Tower was missing. I added it to the 5 to make it 6 skyscrapers completed.. You see ya life. Emporis somehow is current with the constructions going on in Kenya that is why you see the year of completion dated 2016. Though not perfect but credible. 2&3 pictures indicates the list of all the 15 skyscrapers and their status. The same way I carried out my research for Lagos. Emporis indicated 6 skyscrapers for Lagos, 5 completed and 1 proposed which is the Stratosphere (218m). Are you for real? do you agree nigeria has the tallest building in Africa? I didn't count it but after my research, I discovered the ministry of Communication Building was missing and the two skyscrapers completed this year were also missing. The Black Pearl Tower 24 and the Eko Tower 2(I even posted the video and pics). I added the three to the 5 and it gave me 8 skyscrapers completed. comprehend!? As it stands, Lagos has more skyscrapers completed than the whole of Kenya. Next..... The same rules were applied for the highest numbers of highrise in these cities. If you apply the same rules, you will only get 76 out of the 81 highrises because some are either proposed or unbuilt. Like I said earlier, it seems emporis has up to date information on buildings in Kenya till 2016 because I saw all your projects on their list save one. Afterall, I still requested to add to the list but you lied you can't count the numbers of 12-storey towers in Nairobi. Chikena! That concluded it. On the other hand, Emporis listed 72 highrises for Lagos but after I went through their list, I counted 68 highrises and after thorough search, then I came up with 126 highrises. I didn't just come up with the numbers, I listed them here for all to see. Emporis somehow is not current with the constructions going on in Nigeria. Bhuuuhahaha! You can change the fact on ground with this ya mago mago way of life.

Aside from that its amusing to them how a lady can hold a conversation without being aggressive unlike most of their sisters across naija. And this man is actually proudly yapping nonsense about taking over vera and her being theirs. Its sickening how this man is reasoning on this thread. |
