Convener of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) group, Oby Ezekwesili has lamented the blockade by the police as it marched to Aso Rock on Tuesday, September 6 to protest about the Chibok girls, who are still missing.

Ezekwesili, in series of tweets on Tuesday said that the protest to the presidential villa was actually a test for President Buhari, which he appears to have failed.

According to Ezekwesili, the BBOG has a right to protest as empowered by the 1999 constitution and the police should not in any way stop the group.

She hinted that if the government and the police are not careful, they could end up like the former administration of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, who was voted out of office for failing to rescue the abducted Chibok girls among other things.

Tuesday’s blockade comes after BBOG posted its Friday, September 2 march in order to allow Muslim members of the group observe the Jama’at prayer service.
