As most of you know, I have an unpublished "bucket list" of cars and motorcycles that I work and operate out of.

The last one, and that I still have, is my BMW R1200RT-P, ex law enforcement motorcycle.

The current one is MINI Cooper S, quickly named "Kurupe" by my Wife

This is going to be turned into an all out monster in time, but for now I'm picking the low hanging fruits due to current personal reasons.

I'll be starting with a proper cold air intake. I trust K&N, they're local to me and I try to support local business.

Note to folks, please notice how the engine or at least the forced induction system is the same on MINI, Citroen and Peugeot.

Next is suspension work.

New lowering sports springs and shocks.
New lightweight wheels with summer tires.
Upgraded front swaybars

Also an auto tunning freak. For better performance locate ur air filter away from the main engine block. Somewhere less hotter. Cus hot air is very dense. U want a less dense air for ur engine

This is K&N and not some cobbled together home kit.

That space is the best location considering the cramped engine bay and is where the original filter was placed by BMW.

That been said, I will be going to a sealed air filter box that uses ram air from the bonnet sccop.

Yea u right. I was just suggesting, and of course that engine bay is small.

Arrived and installed, mostly by Wifey after I assembled it.

It's a shame that the beauty of it is hidden into the engine block.

Theoretically, at higher boost levels, it can reduce boost loss.

I have noticed crisper throttle responses in higher gears, especially in sports mode.

But this part is part of a cumulative effort. A foundation for when I eventually add a bigger turbo.
