That of Nigeria I think includes all allowances, were the allowances of other countries included or they don't have allowance.
$2.1m haba is still too much for a struggling country as Nigeria.

The most painful thing about the NASS is that they re there doing nothing, and most of them have been there for more than a decade, feeding fat and milking the country dry...they don't pass to bill laws that favours the masses but themselves...very selfish and irrational sets of people. How do we make progress as a nation when an individual earns this? What baffles me in the whole of this is what they called constituencies allowances. They use this to enrich themselves while the people there representing do not have access to basic amenities like bole water, healthy care, school, road, housing etc. How do we get ourselves into this mess? The budget keeps showing us #150billion as the National Assembly Budget for year. The question on my Lip is where is this coming from? We lack basic amenities but over 70% of our budget are being spent on recurrent expenditure every year. When are we going to get there?

The sevarance gratuity and car allowance are paid ONCE IN 4 YEARS. Those ones alone total about 16.3million from your 29million. The remaining about 13million naira is the yearly overall allowance of a Nigerian senator.

And that's just over $30,000

I was patient enough to read it thank you. I'm clarifying that the amount op posted as monthly allowance is infact an annual allowance.

He didn't need to multiply it by 12. That makes it 12 years allowance and not 1 year.
