Sometimes I also get baffled by the amount of hatred and malicious comments I read here on Nairaland.

Her level of petty ignorance and naiveté reeks to the high heavens.

Does she think a forum like Nairaland with its all inclusive and free information sharing policies will serve the functions of or deliver, in compacted form, the effect of Lifehack.com. BusinessInsider.com, Forbes.com or is she expecting to see loads of "endtime saints walking the walk and talking the talk" on here in Nairaland?

She's grossly mistaken and shouldn't have taken such a generalized swipe at the Nairaland brand lwithout understanding the process, the end-product or even the same performance enhancements she'd probably hoped to inspire Seun to effect on the site.

This is no Reddit.com but certainly serves a lot of home based Nigerians business growth, motivation, educational consultancy, market reach/promotions, lifestyle needs despite so many of the fringe elements constituting unnecessary nuisances on the site. Any casual user would easily deduce that such dedicated e-miscreants generated posts that were reflections of their own very nature and not a representrepresentation of the site. Such is often the burden of free speech environments. A look at Nigeria's Senators off-session also has the same effect on me a times.

With a casual search, you would easily get well structured posts loaded with insightful and helpful comments to aid you in various areas of interest. These are information which, volunteered most times freely and in timely fashion as always, have assisted so many's financial, travel, business, legal etc progress. So, what is she on about with the refuse bin. Has she been to the Agriculture section to see people literally being coached by fellow nairalanders from ground-zero and achieving overnight successes within months? Or the Technology Market section where hundreds of ICT SME's have are pinging their start-ups off the success of Nairaland, without a kobo paid in the the Adverts section? What about Education? The list is endless.

While the need for sanistising and upgrading the selection criteria, job specs and target sheets of the MODs themselves, most of the frustrations and pettiness you see on here are mirrored in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc with the exception of Pinterest; Tumblr is way worse with all sorts of craziness holding sway! We overflogged the issues of name-calling, tribal sentiment mongering etc in thw politics section

In an era where people can go ahead with naming their dogs, cats, pet fishes and orangutans after public figures, in probable retaliation and solidarity with the distressed soul arrested for doing such as well as in defiant outcries for non-censorship and non-intrusion of the private domain; you can see that harsh censorships of posts, threads and comments will simply kill off the site while massive droves of users on here will just head out naijapals.com and many others.

Phemenons like Nairaland have come to stay, they have their place in society, media, public opinion etc and the voices therein are often sad reminders on the arrogance of the mighty who see them as unconquered island of the free or some sort of "free-men Eldorado's".

To me, Nairaland needs to be better managed, moderated and "incentivized" to deliver more dividends for the Nigerian Project; the brand does not need to be de-marketed with cheap, under the belt passing shots for want of something better to tweet at lunch-break.

As a social change crusader, she committed a strategic blunder cum brand-suicide by openly deriding a globally recognised and award-winning platform with carelessly worded dismissive dressing-room chatter like this her tweet. From private individuals, it might even have seemed dandy but from a public figure of her calibre owing so much of her relevance to Nairaland and other social media platforms, such a tweet is represents the worst form of unmedicated and poorly directed verbal diarrhea!

She's right to some extent, how can a mod on travel thread ban me till 2036? Isn't that just insane and pure act of dictatorship.

Yes, seun is not responsible for the contents on nairaland but I'm sure he's responsible for the actions of his mods who aren't just bias but are tribalist, Dictators, know it all and above all inexperienced plus immature.

Yesterday alone, there was about 3 fp topics about Linda ikeji alone..then one man bought iphones for his dog. Tonto dikeh husband got her an iphone blah blah blah... Go to some sections such as education, health, crimes etc and see very educative topics, but this mod will just ignore it..instead they'd prefer my neighbour killed a rat, killed a snake, 10 things you can relate to if you do this do that, governor blah blah constructs a street light etc
