The Deputy Senate president, Senater Ike Ekweremadu, on Tuesday, recommended the reshuffling of the cabinet and assigning of competent persons to critical sectors of the economy.

The upper legislative arm has noted that the economic recession was not caused by the present government, but a global one which Nigeria can come out of.

Speaking during their preliminary session, Ekweremadu suggested the reshuffling of President Buhari's cabinet as a way forward to bringing to an end the critical times faced by the nation.
