President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday seek for the consideration and confirmation of Justice Ejembi Eko and Justice Amina A. Augie as Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria by the senate.
This is in accordance with Section 231 (2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

After the Senate Leader, Aliyu Ndume read the Executive Communication from the Presidency, the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki consequently referred the nominees to the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters for necessary actions and to report back to the Senate in two weeks.

Justice Ejembi Eko and Justice Amina A. Augie both from Benue and Kebbi State respectively were both Justices of the Court of Appeal.
