Earlier yesterday,GMD NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Kacalla Baru commissioned the rehabilitated Tanks 11, 12, 13 and 22 at the NNPC Mosimi Depot in Ogun State. Tank 13 was gutted by fire in 1997, while the floating roofs of tanks 11,12 & 22 collapsed in 2001 in addition to excessive base leakages.

The aim of the Project was to restore adequate PMS storage capacity at the Depot to enhance efficient supplies/distribution to Lagos & South West and other parts of the country. Mosimi Depot was constructed in 1978 for the storage and distribution of petroleum products to the western region of the country.

Since 1997 and 2001 when the tanks went out of use, the PDP government could not fix it. The people's general has done what the PDP could not do for 16 years.

not really, most project in oil and gas pride themselves in the number of man hours done with no single injury, the banner was placed there last year. what is certain is that the project didnt start in 2015. what happened between march 2015 till date, probably an accident happened, however minor, it wont be reported.

i just checked, the project started in 2011, and its still ongoing, according to he contractor website.

Where are they going to get the petrol to fill that tank? All the supply pipes have been blown up already. This waste of taxpayer's money money.
