Rilwayne001: That is not the point. What is the economic benefit of shutting down a business? If they have a problem with the owners then charge them to court. More than 4million jobs have disappeared, this year alone. Since they can't create jobs they should stop taking away the ones currently available in the name of fighting corruption. 7 Likes 1 Share |

fostermd: This is not about encouraging any corruption. The world economy only strives on corruption. Why haven't the Swiss govt shut down businesses where Abacha's loot was invested? There is no economic benefit of shutting down a legit business because some of the seed capital has been alleged to have come from the public confers. 4million jobs lost already, and many more to go, and we are just approaching the last quarter of the year. Please name one person that has been convicted since the war against corruption kicked off. We can't just continue on this part. 2 Likes |

IamPatriotic: He is not. There are innocent people who have offices there. If effc traced corruption to dat building then, putting under receivership pending conclusion is better. It keeps d businesses and etc. If they keep sealing buildings, then even those entwined in legitimate activities will go else where. A lot of people are getting paranoid and moving to even Ghana. Painting EFCC on d building is to scare who? The customers? Seems they are still campaigning. The fear is not sent to so called thieves alone. It is to everyone. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Stelvin101: Do you even understand how the economy works? Has anybody been convicted of any financial crime since the war against corruption kicked off? Yet, efcc keeps shutting down private businesses which has contributed to the loss of more than 4million jobs. If only all the money embezzled by Abacha and Co was invested in our economy we won't be complaining. There is no economic benefit of shutting down a legit business because some of the seed capital has been alleged to have come from the public confers. This is what the world powers don't do. If not, the Swiss govt should have shut down companies in possession of Abacha's loot All the money efcc recovered from Ibori and Alamaisyha, have they been able to account for it? 3 Likes |

Does Buhari and his baboons at EFCC know that their acts is pushing people not to invest in the industries that could employ people any longer ? Much of funds are now being invested in Ghana and other West African countries. You do not carry out these vengeful vendetta during recession and depression. This is the moment you need spenders and investors most, but he is causing people to become afraid ? How many millions of Nigerians does he think make money legitimately in a country that offers no loan to millions of small business owners ? Is it not time for Buhari to stop and think and beg all friends and enemies to help him manage the economy he has destroyed. I had expected by now he would be begging employers to not lay off staff and even if you are investigating a company, simply let business continue, you can take over and change management but stop sending breadwinners to the streets and making them hopeless dear daft President of mine. 6 Likes |

Johnrake69: You are wrong bro, don't say what you don't know. The penalty for looting in China is death. World economy does not thrive on corruption. World economy thrive on businesses set up by innovative and hardworking people. World economy is driven by the likes of bill gate, mark zuckerberg, dangote etc. Will you call them politicians/looters That's why you will hardly find politicians being among the richest people in the world. They usually don't have good business skills. That's why they often use their loots to buy/build hotels, buildings, plaza etc. Do not be deceived that these are good businesses, because they don't stand the test of time. The consequences of looting are numerous on you and I. Yes, hotels and plazas built by looters may seem as source of employment for you but you will not have good roads, power, water supply, hospitals and all basic amenities that everyone (including you) should enjoy. All the basic amenities will be lacking. Why? Because the money meant to provide basic amenities for you and I have been diverted into private pockets to build hotels and plazas etc. This not the way america became America, britain became Great Britain and china became China. 2 Likes |
