texazzpete: Kindly apply that logic to fulani herdsmen. Tell us how the airforce is helping to deal with them. As a matter of fact, the fulani herdsmen are the armed ones. The illegal refiners aint armed unless you mistake them for militants 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Flets: Don't be ridiculous. Fulani herdsmen bring cattle from the North to sell in the South. While there are bad eggs among them, there are undoubtedly lots of them who do no wrong and just move their cattle. How is the airforce supposed to act against the herdsmen? Strafe and bomb all cattle they see? Blow up all herds of cattle? Some Fulani herdsmen are murderers and security threats. Those cannot be distinguished from the air. ALL Illegal refinery operators are criminals perpetrating a terrible economic and environmental crime against Nigeria. Those can easily be spotted from the air and routed. Surely, even you can see the difference. Flets: The illegal refiners are 100% under armed militant protection. Their sponsors make millions of dollars from their actions. 3 Likes 1 Share |

texazzpete: Stop playing to the gallery my friend. Fulani herdsmen have been identified as the 4th most deadly terrorist organisation in the globe and here you are downplaying their potency and justifying government's inaction towards a terrorist group. What do you mean by being under armed protection? Are the illegal refiners armed or unarmed? Why play ostrich? |

texazzpete:Oga there are small refinery and mobile refinery been used in some advanced countries this many experts have adviced our government to look into as its not money consuming and license could be given to individuals who are interested. Instead the government and the thieves who are benefiting from the situation would not want that. 1 Like |

razortruth:We all know that running a refinery is not as difficult as it is being portrayed. But think about it, if our refineries are working efficiently, how would looters who have built refineries outside the country sell back to us? I am sure the reason for attacking those boys (even more than BH) is because their business affects the petrol importers' market. Am sure if those boys are trained, they would manage our refineries for us efficiently. |

Finest001: Has any individual - to your knowledge - approached the FG via NNPC/DPR to request for license for modular refineries and have been refused? Why are you even moving the goalposts? Are the people in the creeks using safe, environmentally friendly refineries? Have you run economics on the small scale refinery process to know if it is economically viable? These guys in the creeks are using stolen, free oil. What makes you think their business will remain viable if they have to buy better equipment and then purchase oil from the FG at $40 per barrel? |
Re: Air Force Operation "Forest Storm" Destroys More Illegal Oil Refineries (Video) by texazzpete(m): 11:40am On Oct 05, 2016 |
Flets: Basic common sense cannot be seen as 'playing to the gallery'. Flets: Why are you clowns always eager to shift the goalposts so shamelessly? Nobody here said anything about 'Government inaction'. I gave cogent point why the Nigerian Airforce is of limited effectiveness in tackling the menace of some belligerent armed fulani herdsmen. Unless, of course, you still insist ALL herdsmen are terrorists and that the airforce adopts a policy of bombing and strafing all herds of cattle they spot. Flets: 'under armed protection' is essentially the same as being armed. Your misuse of the 'playing ostrich' phrase is noted...thanks for adding levity to this discussion, even though it is at your expense. |

razortruth:Anybody with idea of fractional distillation, can refine oil, the question is what will be the quality of your end products and how do you handle your byproducts. That is why you need expensive standardized equipments for refining. 80% of the crude this guys refine is wasted. |

texazzpete: Again downplaying the threat of one of the most dangerous terrorist groups in the globe. That's the height of desperation to sound politically correct. If I may ask.... under whose arm protection are the illegal refiners? You've vaguely used that phrase more than once that its almost sounding true to you. For your info, the illegal refiners are down the food chain and without any obvious arm protection. They are merely creek miscreants refining and selling condensate. The only ones that could be considered under some form of arm protection are the major crude bunkerers who also sell crude to the refiners. Enough of your uninformed rants. 1 Like |

Flets: Speaking of 'uininformed'... 'Condensate' is not one of the products of local refining of crude oil. The guys in the creek refine out gasoline and diesel, discarding much of the heavier by-products and waste water in the waterways. As the name implies, 'Condensate' is low density liquid that condenses out of gas. Fulani militants (who can also be herdsmen) are described as terrorists, NOT 'Fulani herdsmen'. Unless you're accusing Southern beef eaters of supporting terrorism To explain it to you in simple terms 1) All Fulani militants are terrorists 2) Some Fulani militants are herdsmen 3) Not all herdsmen are terrorists. If this doesn't sink in, you cannot be helped. 1 Like 1 Share |

texazzpete: You can twist it all you want but Fulani Herdsmen (not militants) are the fourth most deadly terrorist group. http://africansuntimes.com/2016/05/fulani-herdsmen-the-fourth-deadliest-terrorist-group-in-the-world/ https://venturesafrica.com/terror-groups-one-two-many-nigerian-fulani-herdsmen-are-one-of-five-deadliest-terror-groups-in-the-world/ We know Buhari is sympathetic to this terrorist group known as Fulani Herdsmen but we wont allow rabble-rousers like yourself twist the narrative to suit your evil aim. |

Flets: Global Terrorist Index (GTI) that these nigerian news journalists are quoting called them 'fulani militants' when they made that statement on their deadliness. Here, have a look yourself. http://static.visionofhumanity.org/sites/default/files/2015%20Global%20Terrorism%20Index%20Report.pdf Your problem is your rank ignorance and your pride prevents you from seeing this and humbly seeking help.
