Since a particular set of people have taken it upon themselves to wail at every opportunity. I guess they expected the DSS to have notified the suspects like this. undecided

Is DSS constitutional empowered for such duties? The answer is frantically No.

Illegality and dictatorship are hallmarks of Buhari's administration.

“Given the unfolding nature of the event and the seriousness of the situation, the NBA hereby declares a state of emergency as it affects the affairs of the judiciary and I hereby constitute a crisis management team, comprising all past presidents of the association.

“I want to, on behalf of the association, make the very following clear and unequivocal demands: we demand the immediate and unconditional release of all the judges abducted from about 9pm yesterday (Friday).

“The release must be done immediately and without any conditions. Two, we demand that the Department of State Services should limit itself to its statutory and constitutional responsibilities.

DSS has no business with corruption related issue, DSS should focus on matters of National Security .

It's either the EFCC or ICPC that handles issues relating to corruption.

Stop being a sycophant and a supporter of dictatorial democracy. Those words you quoted were the positions of five former and present NBA Presidents.

You think everyone on this platform belongs to a set of zombie who supports every act and inactions of this administration.

Come on swerve. you've so many things to learn of me. Just click the follow button.

Any security agency can be tasked/empowered by the president to arrest any criminal. Even in the United States, the greatest democracy, SSS, FBI etc arrest judges who involved in bribery and corruption. See below:

Its a pity Nigeria is a Lawless society where even the law enforcement agents don't follow the due process of the law...
Before searching the apartment of any citizen for an incriminating evidence you have to search the building with a search warrant when its day time and not at d dead of d night. In advanced countries of the world you have no right to burst down a man's door with d purpose of searching for incriminating evidence. Such process must be carried out with the due process of the Law.
It's a pity Nigeria still has a long way to go.

A lawyer in USA or Britain is not automatically qualified to practice law in Nigeria - Fact.

Nigeria has her laws and constitution and as such we apply it accordingly.

There are no better custodian of Nigerian constitution and laws than the NBA hence the six living past and present NBA Presidents are saying that the DSS acted unconstitutionally against its statutory and constitutional responsibilities.

The Executive is just one arm of the government in a democracy and doesn't make it own laws.

Are you getting the crux of the matter and the direction of the debate?

Do you remember the Ricky Tarfa case? DSS got commendation from the findings of NJC probe on Ricky Tafa and some corrupt judges involved in unethical practices! In fact, some judges were compulsorily retired.

Any BIGMAN that is involved in corruption should not be given any preferential treatment. A criminal is a criminal. This is true justice and equity.

You don't arrest people to seek for evidence rather your evidence is the ground for any arrest.

There is no law enforcement agency in any true democracy in the world that go about arresting known armed robbers without corresponding and implicating evidences.

Haven't you been hearing from Europe and America that some terrorists that later planned and carried out heavy murderous attacks were once queried and released because of no or limited evidence? Must you champion the case of dictatorial democracy instead of constitutional democracy on Nigeria because of your support for Buhari?

Then it takes us back to the reason I opened this thread, would you have been convenient of the DSS messaged them first? Hereby giving th the opportunity to either hide or destroy the evidences??

When judges begin to subvert the law they swore to upheld, then National security is being threatened. It's not always about Buhari but standing for what is really right. Alas, ethno-religious sentiment or political alignment will not let people like see the truth.

It will be recalled that the governor and the DSS Operatives
had their encounter outside the gate of the residence. It is
therefore ridiculous that the DSS remained outside to decare
that N900million was found in the residence.
