The African Bar Association, AFBA, says it is shocked about the arrest of some judges and invasion their homes by security agents in Nigeria.

The AFBA President, Hannibal Uwaifo, said that the action of the security agents was a violation of the principles of the rule of law and tenets of separation of power.

“The AFBA demands the immediate release of all detained judges and judicial officers, the stoppage of further invasion of their homes under any guise and strict obedience to the rule of law.

“The African Bar believes that these grave violations represent a serious setback for growth and development and will not portray Nigeria and Africa well in the international arena,” Mr. Uwaifo said in a statement.

Mr. Uwaifo said that the association would work with the Nigerian Bar Association to ensure that the violation was quickly and decisively addressed.
He added that although AFBA condemned corruption, it would not tolerate the use of “gestapo tactics” or any other extra legal means to address it.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that operatives of the Department of State Service, on Friday and Saturday, invaded the homes of some judges and made some arrests.

You see there is one thing most people don't get. Nobody is supporting corruption. Corruption is the reason why Africans especially Nigerians are suffering. corruption is deep rooted in our society, we are all corrupt. Yes, we all.
To many Nigerians, we think that corruption is only when a politician embezzled public funds. No, favourisim, nepotism, tribalism etc are all part of corruption which we all tends to exhibit in our streets, community, in school, even in church. So, as we are shouting corruption, we should also have a close look in the mirror.

Most of us are faulting buhari/DSS on this not that those judges are our uncles, father nor any relative of our's. We are faulting them because the are bringing in something greater than corruption, something that can halt a nation progress for a very long time. Something than can divide a nation. Buhari is trying to over power rule of law, he is trying to kill democracy. He is trying to take us back to stone age.

Believe me when I tell you that all politicians in nigeria are corrupt (I don't have any evidence to back it up, it is just a personal option). If I see any of them being accused or locked up for corruption, am not amaze. All WE ARE REQUESTING IS FOR DUE PROCESS TO BE FOLLOWED. If we don't totally and uniformly come against this. Tomorrow, you might be arrested for tweeting against buhari. If a judge is corrupt, there's I due process to go about that. If we boycott it today, tomorrow we might also boycott presidential election because some few thinks that Mr "A" is the right person for president.

Those commeding the DSS should always remember this poem.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.

Buhari have shown that he belongs to somebody, I don't care if he jail all PDP members, associate. But let him follow due process for fucking sake.

He have been fighting corruption for almost 2 yrs now, not a single soul have been convicted by a competent court. I was even thinking that Dasuki is nailed on with how their media propaganda was going about it. But, only to my greatest surprise that he is still yet innocent. Even ECOWAS court granted him an unconditional release and fined FG.

Buhari trying to fight his so called corruption by overlooking the rule of law is like trying to discipline a child by killing the child.

Remember, Those judges are innocent until proven guilty.
To those tagging them corrupt, when a policeman put your sorry ass inside jail and tag you murderer, armed robber or cultist. don't cry foul or run to nairaland to create a thread or go to any social media to cry about it. Karma is surely one hell of a bitch.

Bunch of thieves. Show me how their human right was violated.

DSS had an arrest and search warrant. Judges just like any other citizen are not above the law.

You keep on milking our money and you're spilling shit?

If you resist an arrest, full force is authorized.

It is becoming evident that the President may have not broken any law afterall, otherwise, all those legal luminaries would have been hurling court cases against the DSS.

At the same, impunity and corruption should be extinguished from all the 3 arms of government and the 3 levels of governance.

But someone must bell the cat, somehow!

What is it we are seeing in Buhari, that hasn't been experienced elsewhere. He can never be as tough as the rest of world dictators both present and past.
If he likes let him set Nigeria on fire. All i know is that the day of reckoning is coming.

Buhari is not ready to listen to all this grammar. It is under his tenure that we have had arguably the highest number of infractions of the rule of law.

Under Buhari's administration security agencies routinely disobey court orders with the tacit approval of the president. Arrests are made without due process. Innocent people are massacred by his security agencies and the president continues to shield them. The Shiite massacre is a case in point.

Buhari is simply a military dictator in a presidential garb. He is just using the anti- corruption mantra as a smokescreen to exercise his dictatorial tendencies.

Today, where are the Idi Amins, Mobutu Sese Sekus and other world tyrants /dictators . Are their countries better off now. Only zombies will hail tyrants believing that he is on their level whereas he gets his kicks from just being tyrannical. We're already in for a rough time.
Is this not intimidating the judiciary in order to influence the judges to decide cases in his favour?
Corruption is more than stealing.

Burundi is on fire it's UN they will wait for

Gabon is on fire It's UN they will wait for

Almost all african institutions are just buildings only...no power.

I have said it that by the time Buhari would have finished with this his four year tenure, his only achievement will be carried by history as the only president who shut down this country will be Buhari. As the zombies celebrate this evil that was brought upon Nigerians from the north and the west, will kill this country. I bet any body.
