How about since they have been robbing the common man who voted them in our so called democracy and you did not speak.

Democracy did not always happen the way it is currently in the US.

If you look into their history, many WARS have been fought, MANY LIVES have been lost in the fight to establish their democracy.

Should we only compare ourselves to US and the UK when it conveniently fits the agenda to keep things status quo?

Bro, I do criticize, I do say my piece of mind whenever injustice is been done. You happen to know about this because some big wigs are involved. When I see someone being accused, my first instinct is that he maybe innocent. I try my best to exploit all possible option that the person maybe innocent.

So bro, I asked. Is there any possibility that what the DSS are accusing those or one of those judges are lies, is there any?? Is there any possibility that they/one of them maybe innocent?? Is there any possibility that the DSS are carrying out personally vendetta??

It is very possible. But it is also very possible that they are guilty of what they are accused.

So, lets wait and see how things go and let us quit the talk about how dare they were arrested.

Buhari is not ready to listen to all this grammar. It is under his tenure that we have had arguably the highest number of infractions of the rule of law.

Under Buhari's administration security agencies routinely disobey court orders with the tacit approval of the president. Arrests are made without due process. Innocent people are massacred by his security agencies and the president continues to shield them. The Shiite massacre is a case in point.

Buhari is simply a military dictator in a presidential garb. He is just using the anti- corruption mantra as a smokescreen to exercise his dictatorial tendencies.

The AFBA President, Hannibal Uwaifo, said that the action of the security agents was a violation of the principles of the rule of law and tenets of separation of power.

“The AFBA demands the immediate release of all detained judges and judicial officers, the stoppage of further invasion of their homes under any guise and strict obedience to the rule of law.

Can these corrupt kabukabu associations please tell us what part of the Nigerian law or constitution that says law reinforcements in Nigeria can not arrest judges..

You see there is one thing most people don't get. Nobody is supporting corruption. Corruption is the reason why Africans especially Nigerians are suffering. corruption is deep rooted in our society, we are all corrupt. Yes, we all.
To many Nigerians, we think that corruption is only when a politician embezzled public funds. No, favourisim, nepotism, tribalism etc are all part of corruption which we all tends to exhibit in our streets, community, in school, even in church. So, as we are shouting corruption, we should also have a close look in the mirror.

Most of us are faulting buhari/DSS on this not that those judges are our uncles, father nor any relative of our's. We are faulting them because the are bringing in something greater than corruption, something that can halt a nation progress for a very long time. Something than can divide a nation. Buhari is trying to over power rule of law, he is trying to kill democracy. He is trying to take us back to stone age.

Believe me when I tell you that all politicians in nigeria are corrupt (I don't have any evidence to back it up, it is just a personal option). If I see any of them being accused or locked up for corruption, am not amaze. All WE ARE REQUESTING IS FOR DUE PROCESS TO BE FOLLOWED. If we don't totally and uniformly come against this. Tomorrow, you might be arrested for tweeting against buhari. If a judge is corrupt, there's I due process to go about that. If we boycott it today, tomorrow we might also boycott presidential election because some few thinks that Mr "A" is the right person for president.

Those commeding the DSS should always remember this poem.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.

Buhari have shown that he belongs to somebody, I don't care if he jail all PDP members, associate. But let him follow due process for fucking sake.

He have been fighting corruption for almost 2 yrs now, not a single soul have been convicted by a competent court. I was even thinking that Dasuki is nailed on with how their media propaganda was going about it. But, only to my greatest surprise that he is still yet innocent. Even ECOWAS court granted him an unconditional release and fined FG.

Buhari trying to fight his so called corruption by overlooking the rule of law is like trying to discipline a child by killing the child.

To those tagging them corrupt, when a policeman put your sorry ass inside jail and tag you murderer, armed robber or cultist. don't cry foul or run to nairaland to create a thread or go to any social media to cry about it. Karma is surely one hell of a bitch.

Bro you are a patriot. At least your arguments are based on genuine sentiments. You made two points that I noted:

1. You asked that due process be followed
2. You observed that in 2 years of anti corruption warfare, we are yet to have a single conviction.

Your second point shows that due process, administered by the corrupt has become, itself, corrupt. The value of due process is not in morality but in justice.

You may argue that it is immoral to arrest judges in the middle of the night, however i would argue that morality does not always serve the purpose of justice.

Therefore if due process becomes a means by which justice may be subverted under the guise of morality, then due process is no longer an adequate guardian of justice. If the corrupt may hide under the iron clad cloak of due process, then they must be stripped of that cloak.

how can you compare a democracy barely twenty years abs after a series of dictatorships and a democracy that has existed for two centuries. The reason why we will not let impunity stand is because we have been there gowon. Murtala. Buhari. Babangida and abacha. That is why we have to be vigilant. They say the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

God bless u bro. Nobody likes corruption but there must be civility in every society, especially in a democracy. Just imagine d president asking for emergency powers for whatever reason.
