Nationalist2016: You are very right, the elites are our greatest problems, the current economy only look so bad because its the first time the elites got hit very badly which is affecting their wasteful lifestyle. Nigeria's economy has always been very bad for the poor for so many years but elites has always had their way but this time they got screwed badly by PMB and that's why they will keep shouting until thy Kingdom come. 1 Like |

She mentioned it that she was happy a change was coming just like majority of Nigerians but was failed by the govt. Due to their many mistakes and unnecessary policies. |

Mrs. Adichie you said last year that Mr. Buhari was your messiah, why are you ditching him so soon? You never see nothing yet. |

I can never understand how people can feel comfortable advising the government on policy to execute, what then is the point of having one?! Anyway, afonjas, abokis and their sympathizers must enjoy buhari like a cold, till he runs his course! STUPID IDIOTS! |

Kosy79: Keep shut that trap. I did not bother to read her trash because she is the most bigoted celebrity Nigeria has ever produced. Today she is a writer Tomorrow a child psychologist Next day a politician Now an economist What does she know about economics? She should focus on her writing and bigotry and spare us this IPOB inspired trash. Never before have we seen a divisive, sad, hateful and negative minded celebrity as Adichie. |

Igboid: The most painful part is that those 'enlightened and educated' supporters are not resident in Nigeria or they have dual citizenship that enables them to relocate whenever they want. They were the most vociferous, unbending and unforgiving in their criticisms of Jonathan and swayed so many dull ones to believe their crap. Now the shït has hit the fan, they are safely out of harm's way either completely silent or being 'carefully' critical. The no-holds-barred, loudmouth syndrome they all acquired pre May 2015 has suddenly been cured with shame or fear. It is now those here that bear the brunt! Same is applicable to some of the useless supporters on this forum. 2 Likes |

Kosy79: Calm your nerves daughter of hate, Sometimes i wonder what happen to your brain but i remember you having plots of lands on your head so to think straight will be very hard. Aisha Buhari who her husband makes that statement is presently in Brussels attending a forum, She never even respond to what her husband said but you and your likes put it on your head like the plots of land you have on and still ranting about it.. PMB and Aisha children are schooling abroad and the children never even say anything cos they know their Parent very well and also know how their father use to joke with them. Now back to your matter, You can never be a good woman or wife if you never believe in those statements, Even if PMB was joking with it but there's some truth in it. Did your mother prepare food for your father in toilet? Did your parents after the meal relax in the toilet? Did your Parent in an Hotel room? Well i can bet my life you might have miss count on how many times you've been taking to the hotel.. Get off my mention you divorce applicant. |

Orikinla: How do you know it wasn't a young lady in her 20's more interested in learning a skill to help her be self-sufficient? From ur enclave u already label Chimamanda a criminal guilty of child abuse. It is clearly stated that it was a young woman! This is what she wrote in the article: A few months ago, a young woman, Chidera, came to work as a nanny in my Lagos home. A week into her job, I found her in tears in her room. She needed to go back to her ancestral home in the southeast, she said, because Fulani herdsmen had just murdered her grandfather on his farm. She showed me a gruesome cellphone photo of his corpse, desecrated by bullets, an old man crumpled on the farm he owned. There u are asking what her contribution is to national development and attempting to rubbish what she stands for, in other words pulling her down to portray yourself as a better person with this: I am also a writer and Founder and Executive Director of Girls United Together for Success (GUTS) project for the promotion of education, protection and welfare of underprivileged girl in Nigeria, endorsed by UNICEF. Who told u putting another down automatically lifts u up? If u feel she has contributed nothing as evidenced by the thinly veiled sarcasm and blatant accusations in ur write-up, why do u want to produce more 'Chimamandas'? The fact that u can even use her name as a positive label to be aspired to is a giant leap in development for the girl child and female folk generally or don't u know that? With her books, movies, lectures and talks she is building minds, channeling and inspiring young people to break the societal molds and aspire to be more. If that is not a huge contribution, I don't know what else is! Your pain rather was in arguing whether she is the most respected in the literary field or not...unsurprising anyways. You obviously had nothing to criticise about her identifying the destructive failure and ineptitude of buhari and his government and that is why u resorted to the cheap game of attempting to discredit her person. Just goes to show... |

Adichie, u wrote well. But u are a fool. Agreed dat Jonathan bleeped up ( which u said before election) but wat were u thinking when u thought dat an old army general , who we all know his antecedents, will suddenly become a messiah? U re a fool by thinking in dat direction and believe so to be possible. The leopard can never loose its spots. So u can be diapointed for all I care.....I knew is gonna b like dat earlier therefore I am not disappointed. Take heart dear |
