I swapped my GLO SIM for a GLO 4G SIM (USIM) and am currently using it on the Huawei E5573s-606. It shows 4G on the MiFi dashboard but I can't browse. Even though it shows the full 5 bars at the MiFi dashboard, the internet connectivity icon at the bottom-right hand side of my laptop shows a yellow triangle which means it is a limited connection. I am currently subscribed to the GLO NGN1,000 3G data plan. Is it that previous 3G plans don't work with GLO 4G i.e do I have to subscribe to a 4G data package before I can browse on 4G?

a 3g plan will work for 3g speed even if it's placed in the most sophisticated 4g device.

Yes. Glo 3G data plans don't work over 4G LTE network. It will simply refuse to browse until you switch the network type to 3G. But the 4G data plans are backward compatible.

So, yes, in order to browse over Glo 4G LTE network, you need to subscribe to their 4G plans. But the data plans cost the same anyway.

O.K. Thanks! I have about 2GB left from the 3G NGN1000 data package, do you think I can go ahead and subscribe for a 4G Plan without exhausting it first?

Now, this is what I'm not sure of. I mean, if you try to rollover the 3G plan with a 4G plan, I don't know if that will convert the remaining 2gb to a 4G data. Try it and see if it works. We just might learn from your experiment cheesy

It won't work. The 4g data will be given a different account and your network mode alternative determines which account will be used.

i.e when your network mode is switched to 3G only, 4g plan will be suspended.

I guess I'll just have to be swapping into my S7 Edge then. Seems the phone supports all bands.

His price is on the high side but if you are desperate you could buy it from this merchant at konga:

http:///huawei-e5573s-606-2g-3g-and-4g-lte-mifi-hotspot-router-3022116

If you have a GTBank Naira MasterCard and you've not reached your $100 monthly spending limit on international transactions or if you have a Domiciliary Account you can get it NGN9,000 cheaper at aliexpress.com: https:///cAou0z

If you still have cash to spare, you could buy its external antenna to boost the signal from the same merchant at aliexpess: https:///oIsSdE

It seems the moderator has removed the Konga and google URL shortner address from the link I pasted so you might not be able to access them. Sha, here is a text file I attached containing the links and some pix of the products.

Buying it from Spectranet is better. It costs 25k, and comes with 30gb.

That's the AT&T variant, and doesn't support band 28.

This is quite impressive given that the test server is located in the Netherlands, which is far.
