brownsucre1:LOL...thank you Mr Soyinka. I hope HCP consider this as an achievement for you and send you an invite for A. C. Better still, you copy it and forward it to their mail, who knows you might be lucky and get yourself a slot for A. C Mr OKPANWU. For what it's worth, I think you should discard your RELIABLE SOURCE and get a RELIABLE SENSE. 5 Likes |

cloud9usher: Hi, are you still working with FirstBank currently bcoz I saw a FirstBank SECP 2016 thread where you wrote that you work with FBN? |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by cloud9usher: 4:46pm On Aug 04, 2017 |
Greatmayok: I don't think I would answer yes or no to that yet. But can you get me a link to the thread? Because I don't think I have ever stated any where that I work with First bank, I work in the banking industry at the moment though. UPDATE: I have seen the thread and I saw my comment, back then I was an outsourced staff, I left for another though, still as an outsourced staff. But this present FBN GT 2017 program I didn't apply as a former service executive in FBN, I applied directly as a non banking applicant. |

Good Morning my Prospective Colleagues! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Firstly, i wish to, in a special way, congratulate all those that are yet to be called for AC, (Isaiah 40:31New King James Version (NKJV): But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.) That was exactly my experience in the last AC. Firstly I assure you that "YOU MUST BE CALLED FOR AC IF YOU EVER RECEIVED A SUCCESSFUL MAIL! - I need no reliable or unreliable source to tell you that." Secondly, I am telling you that "THE LATER THE BETTER!" I HAD FAILED MY AC IF GOD HAD NOT DELAYED IT THIS FAR!!! Seriously, I never had an idea of what AC looks like, but from going through other peoples' experience and believing my God who reveals the treasures to His own, I can say that i performed EXCELLENTLY WELL under His grace in the last AC. These are some of my secretes: 1. I prayed very well 2. I took my time and read other people's experience 3. I got some hints here that I will now share with you: a. Be yourself, YOU MUST NOT LIE DURING THE COMPETENCY INTERVIEW, DIG DEEPER AND YOU WILL SURELY RECALL A SCENARIO THAT ANSWERS THE QUESTION. I can recall a question that what fitted best was how i foiled my teachers' plan to extort #10 from each student in order to 'help' us in our common entrance. b. That the case study we will discuss in the group will be used for powerpoint and essay; so, I wrote the points for my powerpoint while waiting for my competency interview. So, i had time to choose my favourite theme (PLEASE, CHOOSE A THEME BEFORE GOING FOR YOUR AC) and also added an animation. c. Don't argue during the group discussion, interrupt no one, just raise your hand to indicate that you want to speak. You know what, as i was supporting everyone and a kinda summarizing every point at certain stages. At a point, i won the attention of my group members such that everyone faces me while s/he speaks because I was always nodding in support. Also, take note of what is discussed in the group, it will go a long way to help you formulate your own points. d. Be very conscious of time, if you didn't do so well at a stage don't carry it on to the next stage. THE MOST CHALLENGING STAGE FOR ME WAS THE LOGICAL REASONING, COULDN'T ANSWER MUCH. TESTIMONY: I LEFT ABUJA AT ABOUT 1PM ON 28 AFTER A PROGRAM, I PASSED LOKOJA OKENE WHEN THAT FIRE ACCIDENT WAS ON, I REACHED LAGOS ON A TIGHT BUS AT 3 AM, GOT TO MY DESTINATION AROUND 5:30AM. FELT SO SLEEPY AND TIRED; I slept in the AC hall and my brained seemed empty, BUT miraculously, I became very alert and clever again as the exercise kicked off. Can't thank God enough. I WISH ALL OF US GOODLUCK!!! MEET YOU AT THE TS!!! PRAISE GOD! 11 Likes |

Well with 750 sumtn branches nationwide I wud b damned if fbn employs only 200-250 GTs that's 1:3 new employees to branch I believe they shud employ at least 1 new employee per branch if not more cos I remember when writing the aptitude test in Jos a staff of FBN made mention of this when encouraging us to give our best and not be discouraged by the crowd. My two cents 4 Likes |

Gaxx01:I doubt if any one can give you such response. It could be better if you can get a write-up from WAEC to that effect. 1 Like |

Gaxx01: Bro I hate to be a conveyor of bad news but your issue seems bleak! FBN doesn't mess around with WAEC DOB at all! We have talked about this on this thread before and it was also dealt with in the last recruitment thread where FBN staff talked about its importance. Banks are very particular about age and they have figured that its only that WAEC DOB that can be trusted as regards someone's real age. A court sworn affidavit will not be acceptable, because anyone can go to a court and swear an affidavit to supposedly reduce their age. 2 Likes |

Only if d affidavit was gotten when u were seeking for admission or its not less than ten years old. Regarding WEAC they ve stopped nada forget what u see online. get ur birth certificate, two letters from ur school taking responsibility for d mistake and requesting for correction, sworn affidavit and pay 10k to their account. Note ur birth cert is a must for DOB correction. If u re in lagos I suggest u visit ogba office. 2 Likes |

Who knows whether FBN accepts WAEC and NECO combination because my O/Level is combined. |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by beshiman(m): 9:55pm On Aug 05, 2017 |
Asiri1991: I stand to be corrected, they will accept them. Their priority regarding the WAEC is your Date of Birth, mostly. Thanks. 1 Like |

If that is the case, what about those using NECO result. What is their fate?? N beside FBN didn't put it there that NECO result holder shud nt apply. Pls shed more lite to this. Thanks |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by cloud9usher: 11:16pm On Aug 05, 2017 |
akinwolem: FBN accepts NECO and WAEC, even if its combined in order to have the national prerequisite of 5 credits including maths and English. Even if you had all F9's in WAEC and you used your NECO where you scored all A1 to gain admission, FBN wants to see that WAEC as well in documentation. And don't start giving the excuse that while in secondary school you registered for NECO over WAEC because you didn't have enough cash to register for both, no one would listen to you, and this is not hear-say but first hand information I have experienced. Banks know that at that tender age of being in SS3 when we all are registering for WAEC, no one thought about back-dating his/her real age, most of us were around 15-19 years at such point and were young enough so there was no need to alter our real ages, and this is why banks are VERY particular about WAEC. People fake birth certificates at will and use any age they want, hence its non effectiveness in ascertaining real age and court declaration of age is just useless as well. PS: And note, its WASSCE they are out for and not GCE WAEC, so take note. 4 Likes |

In other news: "Firstbank Targets 30m Accounts In Four Years" www.nairaland.com/3969628/firstbank-targets-30m-accounts-four Excerpts from the report by FBN Chief Executive Officer: “We do have this very ambitious plan to grow the number of customer accounts from where it is today – about 14.5 million customer accounts – we plan to grow that to about 30 million customer accounts in the course of three to four years,” he stated. He added that Firstbank has the largest branch network – in excess of 750 branches, the largest number of ATMs, the largest customer base and the largest number of subscribers, making it to be fully embedded into the economy." More reason to give my prospective FBN colleagues more hope that FBN would employ a large number of us in order to achieve the aforementioned goal 5 Likes 1 Share |
