Obasanjo didn't say anything new. His advice is one of the solutions that have been suggested by economic experts. The only trouble with the Buhari administration is its flippant attitude to the economic challenges confronting the nation.

This line of defence has become stale; it sounds like a broken record. Nigerians didn't elect Buhari to gloat over the failures of the past administration. He was elected to correct them. At the end of his first term in office, he won't be assessed based on the things Jonathan did, but on the things he fails to do.
